My Rejected Mate And Our Secret Triplets Chapter 74

Chapter 74

Alvina's Pov

I didn’t hate the human world as much as I thought. Especially now that I found something concrete that would allow me to easily get Larissa away from Logan.

I still couldn’t believe she had kids and a human husband too. I was unable to find a picture of him in her office before I heard someone come in and had to hide.

I had to find these triplets and I knew exactly where. Apparently they schooled in some kind of boarding school across town.

I wasn’t sure what a boarding school was but I believed it was like a training center for human kids. James from the Lake Moon Pack had mentioned something in-passing but I had not cared to listen then because I didn’t think I’d ever need the information but here I was, in the human world.

Derek would probably laugh at me seeing me struggle to understand the human world. Thank Goodness I listened in-passing to some of the guards' stories and that of my uncles and the fact that I was a quick learner. If not, I’d have stuck out like a sore thumb. I was already doing a good job, I think.

I read somewhere a few years ago that humans were often fascinated by us and are drawn to us without knowing or understanding why , so that explained the stares I had been getting since I arrived.

All I needed to do now was go there but I’d need to change into something much more respectable, so I could be taken seriously. Maybe a suit?

Lots of people in this city seemed to like suits.

But more importantly, how was I going to introduce myself? Would the boarding school take me seriously? Or would they call their guards or soldiers on me?

I needed a good stunt if I was going to get the kids. That or I’d have to break them out. It would be easy.

I hailed a taxi to my motel room and peeled off the bandage in my arm as soon as I could.

Just you wait Larissa!

I grinned as I entered my hotel room.

I could not wait to take her out soon and assume the position of Logan’s Luna again.

It would be a piece of cake with the information I had.

Back in my room, I quickly showered and got dressed again. I needed to get good clothes so I could visit the boarding school.

I checked the letter I had gotten from Larissa’s desk drawer and read the name of the boarding school aloud.

The letter had been a funny one. Apparently the kids were bullying other kids in school. At least Larissa’s kids had a back bone unlike her.

Outside the motel, I stood, trying to hail a taxi so I could go back to the place that was close to the werewolf border when I noticed a familiar scent in the air.

I abandoned my position on the road side and began trying to tail the scent.

I followed the scent trail and found a little boy buying something just around the flea market, close to the border.

I paused when I saw the kid and how familiar he looked. He was a carbon copy of Logan and I gasped, realizing that the boy probably belonged to Logan.

I had not anticipated the fact that they could belong to Logan and just thought they looked familiar when I had seen their picture in Larissa’s office.

“Ma’am I’d like these please,” the kid said to an older lady at the Cash register.

He handed her the credit card and the woman stared at him with narrowed eyes.

“where did you get this credit card, young man and where is your mother?” the lady looked around.

I glanced around and quickly realized that the kid was alone.

“I am his mother, lady, give him what he wants quickly or do you not care about business?”

The woman glanced up at me in awe and nodded. She swiped the credit card and gave me back the card instantly.

I held onto the boy's hand and came outside the bodega with him.

We walked a good distance from the shop hand in hand before the boy looked up at me curiously.

“You are like mom,”

I blinked down at him, confused on what he meant by that. I looked nothing like that stupid bitch, Larissa.

“Excuse me?” I paused to look at him.

“You smell like mom and my siblings. Do you know my mom?” he asked.

“Oh,” I smiled.

“As a matter of fact, I do,” I crouched down to bump his nose.

It was like the moon goddess was doing my bidding today. She knew just as well as I did that I deserved to be happy.

“Will you take us to her?” He asked, his little eyes reminding me of Logan’s.

“Of course. That’s why I’m here!”

“I’m your mom’s friend and as a matter of fact she asked me to come take you from school so you could come see her.”

The boy looked about ready to combust from excitement.

“Yea! I knew she wouldn’t just abandon us like that! Come on, I’ll show you where my brother and sister are. They are at the park.”

I nodded, unsure what he meant by ‘park’

I followed him and just like he said, right across the street there were two kids sitting idly on a bench talking.

“Guys! Diana!” The kid let go of my hands as soon as he saw his siblings and ran to them.

“What?” a smaller version of Larissa turned around.

“I found someone who can help us find mom;”

“Who?” the little girl, I assumed was Diana asked.

“Hello miss” they waved at me.

“My name is Alvina, what’s yours?”

I shook their hands and they shook mine back.

“Dave”

“Daniel”

“And Diana”

“She smells like mom, doesn’t she?”

“Shut up Dave. You don’t know this woman, what makes you think she can help?”

Diana asked.

“Can’t you smell her? She smells just like mom.”

Dave, the boy that I had met at the tiny grocery shop said wide eyed

Diana eyed me skeptically.

“She says she’s mom’s friend too.”

Diana’s eyes seemed to widen at that fact.

“Really? Can you take us to her?”

I smiled wide, baring my teeth,“ I thought you’d never ask.”

“Come on, follow me, I’ll take you to her.”

I wasn’t sure what to do with the kids yet but I was definitely not taking them to their mom…
