Chapter 77
ALVINA’S POV
“So, when are we going to meet mom, Miss Alvina?” Diana asked, her big eyes staring up at me curiously.
It had been two days since I found the triplets and took them from the park and it had been a hectic two days.
We were now in a different motel room from the one I was at earlier.
I still had some leftover money that I had stolen from the couple I had mugged the first time I came to the human world. Plus the credit card I took from Dave.
“Soon my love,” I ruffled her hair. She had uncanny resemblance to her mom and at the same time her father and from what I had observed, she was the bossy one.
Her brothers never made any decisions without involving her. I would be proud of her if I didn’t hate her mother so much.
I had finally figured out what I was going to do with the kids. I was going to use them as leverage to get Larissa out of the pack forever.
All I needed to do was reach out to her and inform her that I was with her kids and the only way I’d release them was if she left the pack forever.
It was a fool proof plan. Especially since Larissa didn’t want Logan knowing about the kids. It would have been so much easier if the kids belonged to her human husband but unfortunately that was not the case.
For a moment, I wondered if she knew that the kids belonged to Logan.
I took a look at them and knew instantly that she knew. They looked too much like Logan for her not to know.
“I’m hungry aunt Alvina,” Daniel, the dumbest among the three- in my opinion- spoke up. He seemed to be the youngest among them.
I rolled my eyes and turned to look at him with a fake smile plastered on my face.
I could never get used to how much he looked like Logan. It was like I was staring into the past, when Logan was only about seven or eight years old, it was unnerving.
“What would you like to eat?” I asked, doing my best not to trigger them.
“Can we eat Pizza?” Dave asked.
“Of course. With aunt Alvina, you can have whatever you want,”
“Yes!” Daniel and Dave fist bumped each other and Diana rolled her eyes.
I hated all of them but if I had to pick, Diana was definitely my favorite one.
They were all smart in their own little annoying ways but Diana would definitely make it in the pack.
“Where can I get pizza?” I asked, realizing I didn’t exactly know anywhere here.”
“You can just order from Pizza Hut ,” Diana said, "I'll do it for you. Where’s your phone?”
She asked.
My lips thinned as I stared blankly at her. How was I supposed to tell her that I didn’t have a phone?
What adult woman that’s supposed to be human didn’t have a phone?
“Um, I lost my phone.”
I blurted out.
She stared at me like I should be ashamed of myself and an irrational anger bubbled from within me. I felt like I was being scrutinized by Larissa and the fact irritated me.
I needed to get a phone but how? I wasn’t quite sure I had enough to buy this silly human device.
“I had a long trip from the pack,” I tried to explain, “Plus I was trying to avoid rogues.”
“The pack?” she frowned.
“Yes, where your mom is,”
“Is that some kind of city?” One of the boys inquired.
I blinked at them. Did they not know who they were?
Did Larissa not tell them about their wolves?
I crouched down to their level and carefully asked them.
“Did your mother not tell you where she’s from?”
“Yes, we are from here, New York city!” Dave exclaimed!
Did these kids even know anything about themselves?
Oh, Larissa. You dumb bitch. You’d just made things even more interesting for me.
“What? Are they wrong?” Diana was the one to speak this time.
“Not Exactly. You know what? I’m going to go get you that pizza now. I’ll come back and tell you all about your mom,”
I said to them and they nodded happily.
The pizza place wasn’t hard to locate. Although it wasn’t the one the kids wanted, but I had just asked for the closest pizza place from a random stranger and she’d pointed at one.
After getting pizza, I decided to walk into a stationary shop to get myself a pen and paper.
I was going to send Larissa a letter.
While in the shop, a strange man walked in and for some reason, he kept staring at me but not like the way humans usually did. It was in a way that made my skin crawl.
I glared at him when he refused to look away and he immediately averted his gaze.
I walked past him to the cashier and paid for what I bought and walked out the shop, ignoring the weird man staring at me.
Finally a good distance away from the shop, I glanced back and couldn’t find the weird stalker man anywhere.
Good, he needed to hide his dumb ass away from me. I didn’t like the way he’d been staring at him and I didn’t want to have to kill any human unnecessarily.
That would bring me unwanted attention. And I couldn’t afford that.
The door to the motel room had a slight dent to it once I got there. I opened the door to find the kids fighting.
“What the hell are y’all doing?” I yelled, my eyes wide as I saw the mess they’d made.
“Dave started it,” Daniel pointed at his brother.
“I don’t want to hear any of it!” I growled.
I felt my eyes glow with anger.
What on earth were they trying to do ? Get me in trouble?
“Aunty Alvina!!,” Diana pointed.
“Your eyes are glowing!”
