Chapter 83
Larrissa's pov.
"Time is ticking Larissa. Have you made up your mind yet?"
Alvina asked through the phone.
"Alvina, I can't just leave the pack. Please bring my kids to me and we can work this out "
"Very funny. You have less than twenty four hours before I chop of your children like beef and send them to you. Good day Larissa," with that, she hung up.
I needed to go. I needed to go save my kids.
To hell with this stupid pack. If she wanted it so bad, I'd go back to the human world and get back my kids.
That was it! I have made up my mind. I was going to leave before Dawn tomorrow.
I'd move to Alaska or even South Africa if she wanted. I just wanted my kids to be safe.
Through out the entire day, I was unbelievably stressed. Logan was the only one giving me strength to live and he had no idea.
I wanted to hate him, seeing as this whole mess was his fault but as usual, I couldn't bring myself to.
The most I could do was cry on his shoulder and it irked me when what I wanted to do was blame him for inviting Alvina back to the pack but end up, cuddling him.
"What are you thinking about?" I heard his voice behind me before I felt his hands wrap around my waist.
I was in his father's chambers doing his father's daily check up absentmindedly when he came in.
"Let go of me, I'm working!" My voice came out angry.
Logan immediately let go and came to stand in front of me.
"Are you eventually going to tell me what the hell is going on with you? One minute you are all over me, the next you are cold and the next you are crying your eyes out on my shoulders. What is going on, you can tell me,*
I scoffed at the irony of his words.
He was the one person I should tell but couldn't afford to. Logan must never find out about the kids, I couldn't let that happen.
"I'm… fine. It's late. I'm going to bed," I shrugged and walked past him.
My was head spinning.
Nolan appeared in the hallway as I was walking to my room and I waved at him and offered up a polite smile.
"Dr. Larissa," he said curtly and walked past me to meet Logan.
"Sir, I have news."
"What kind of news," he asked.
*We just found a strange man in the woods,"
"Rogue?" Logan asked.
"No, he appears to be human,"
I paused in my track at the sound of that.
What was a human doing in wolf territory?
It's impossible to find or stumbled unto the Wolfdom without it being premeditated.
"Human?"
Logan asked in disbelief.
"Yes, he has three pups with him though."
"What?" I turned around in shock.
"Where are they now?" I asked, running toward them.
I couldn't sense them but that was probably because of the emotional turmoil I was in.
"On their way here,"
Nolan glanced at me.
Without waiting for him to finish and with hope in my heart I ran towards the entrance of the pack house, moving past the guards and ignoring them as the yelled for me to stop.
I was half toward the woods when I began to sense then.
Jack, Dave, Diana and Daniel,
I continued to run until they came out of the woods with a bunch of guards behind them.
"Mommy!" The sound of three children calling me and the look on their faces flooded me with relief.
I didn't stop running until I had them in my arms, hugging them with all the force I could.
I stood up to look at Jack, who seemed confused by the whole ordeal.
"Jack…" I said with a lump in my throat before hugging him as tight as I could.
He was hesitant but he wrapped his hands around me.
"Larissa," his voice was filled with emotions.
I felt him kiss all over my face and then my lips.
"I missed you so much," he groaned.
"I'm sorry,"
I pleaded and let him hold me tight.
"I guess we know who the human came to look for now,"
I heard Logan's voice from behind, an unfriendly voice with sarcastic undertone.
"Logan this is Jack, my husband,"
Logan looked about ready to throw hands as I introduced jack as my husband.
Jack didn't seem any better in terms of expression and I found it a little funny.
"Mom who is this man?" Diana was the one to break the silence.
Logan's eyes moved to the kids and he frowned.
"Who are they?" Logan asked.
I swallowed, realizing that what I had been preventing for years was coming through.
"They are my children, mine and Jack's,"
"Oh, " he frowned.
"Hi, Mr. I'm Dave and this is my brother Daniel and that's my sister, Diana. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you," Logan crouched to greet him.
"How old are you?" He asked, smiling brightly.
"I'm seven, you?"
Dave asked.
Logan burst out in laughter.
"I'm old, a very old man," he chuckled and so did the kids.
"Alright, I'd like some privacy with my husband and kids if you don't mind Logan,"
I said with a forced smile and took Jack by the hands, the kids in tow.
"What is this place, Larisa?" Jack asked soon as we were both in my room.
"It's a long story Jack. I'm not sure where to start but this is more or less where I am from,"
"I don't understand… what kind of town is deep in the forest and why do you live in such a big mansion? Why did you leave? I thought you were kidnapped!" JACK's voice went up a few octaves in anger.
"I was."
"You don't look abducted to me,"
He stood up from the bed, running his hands through his hair.
"I was. This place used to be my home. The reason I left was because of how terribly I was treated."
Jack stared at me blankly and it was then I realized I was going to have to give him a better explanation than that.
"I guess I have to start from the very beginning…"
I admitted.
I took a deep breath and stared directly at Jack and with a leveled voice said to him,
"I'm a werewolf…"
