My Rejected Mate And Our Secret Triplets Chapter 85

Chapter 85

LOGAN’S POV

"Are you in love with him, Larissa?" Jack asked.

I was listening to the conversation between Jack and Larissa.

After the kiss a couple of days ago, Larissa and I had even been more intimate than before and I had made it my business to make sure that he knew that Larissa belonged to him.

I had begun to send her gifts again and write her letters and poems. Jack hadn't found that funny at first but now, Larissa and him were always fighting.

Good. He ought to know that Larissa was mine and mine alone.

Diana punched me in the face and I almost fell, I had not been concentrating.

"You are not very strong, uncle Logan," the little brat pointed at me, laughing.

I shook my head and smiled at her. She was just like her mother. Beautiful, strong. The only difference was that she was sassy and bossed everyone Around, including her brothers and me.

It was so cute.

"You know I was distracted," I tried to explain.

"Stop listening to mom and Dad's conversation. Mom said it's bad to do that," Daina said and I couldn't help but laugh.

"How do you know I was doing that?" I asked.

"Because I was doing the same thing," she gave a cheeky smile.

Okay, maybe she was more like me than she was like her mother. Which made me wonder if Larissa was actually telling me the truth that the kids belonged to Jack.

I chuckled but realized I was enabling bad behavior

"Don't eavesdrop , Diana, that's a bad habit…"

"I know," she pouted and I just couldn't resist her cuteness. I ruffled her hair and smiled at her.

"It's my turn to spar with uncle Logan!" Dave and Daniel said simultaneously as they pushed their sister out of the way.

"Hey! Y'all apologize to your sister right now!" I yelled at both kids but they both rolled their eyes at me. I was about to scold them even more when Diana came flying towards them, pushing both brothers to the floor.

I stared at the three of them in complete shock as they began to fight. I wasn't sure whether to stop them or to be impressed.

They were only seven years old but they were stronger than most of the teenage wolves in training.

"Alpha Logan…" Nolan called out to me, walking briskly towards me.

"What is it, Nolan?" I asked, noting the urgency in his voice…

"Sir, the rogues!. They're marching towards us."

"How do you know that? The spy we have on the inside just informed me, they'll be here by midnight."

Wide-eyed, I was tensed and at the same time worried.

"Get the warriors, the soldiers to prepare their weapons. Get ready to go to war!"

I yelled.

Nolan nodded.

"I'll be with you shortly,"

It was happening again. What had happened many years ago during my father's time. Rogues were attacking.

I couldn't afford to lose anyone. Not this time. And not especially when Larissa is here. I can’t lose her again.

And her kids too.

"Is everything okay, uncle Logan?" Daniel was the one to ask.

"Yes," I lied

"Come on, I'm taking you inside.”

LARISSA'S POV

It had been a total of three days since I kissed Logan in the tree house and the mate bond was stronger than ever.

I was literally in the middle of two men fighting for me. It had gotten extremely tiring that I had to yell at both men to stop treating me like some trophy to be won. Jack was mad at me and have been asking questions about Logan.

I had done everything to try and explain to him that I loved him but he wasn't buying what I was selling and I was getting discouraged by everything. We were supposed to perform the surgery today but Jack was still upset with me saying I had to choose between him and Logan.

He'd seen the attraction between us and felt there was something going on.

He was right and I hated lying to him but there wasn't anything I could do about it.

I was in too deep with Logan and I hated the fact that I was. I wished he could just reject me as his mate but I knew he wouldn't.

He was fighting everyday for my love. Sending in gifts and trying to take me out on dates. Jack had been doing the same thing, trying to compete for my love but he'd gotten tired already and had forced me to tell him the truth.

I had told him that Logan was the father of the kids but he was the one I loved. It was only half truth. I loved Jack with all my heart, he'd been there for me. He was the reason I was who I am today but it was Logan I was in love with. Logan had my heart and my soul. I couldn't stop no matter how much I tried to.

I knocked on Jack's door, hoping he'd answer me. The door opened a second later and I sighed out in relief.

"Hey," I said with an uncertain tone.

"Hi" Jack returned.

"I know we have a lot to talk about but it's time for the surgery." I said to him.

He glared at me but sighed and nodded.

Jack could never really say no to saving someone's life. Even though that someone had maltreated me.

When I had first told Jack the whole story, he had wanted to leave immediately, saying this place was too dangerous for me and the kids but I had explained to him that Logan would not let me leave.

It took a while but he finally decided to stay, perform the surgery on grounds that we would leave after the surgery. I had been more than happy to do that until Logan.

"I'm only doing this because of you. I still don't quite understand the werewolf system," he said..

"It's not much different from the human body, I'll guide you," I said to him and stretched my hands for him to take.

He took it hesitantly and I led him into the already prepared Chambers of the Former Alpha after wearing our surgical uniforms.

There were other doctors and physicians from the pack waiting for us there.

"Alright, let's begin."

I said as soon as we got in.

"Scalpel!"
