"Hey, she's not breathing."
"What the fuck..." The male student asked and one of them hurried over to check the girl at the trash can.
"What is this bitch?"
He turned to the brunette in fright. "Hey, she's not breathing."
"Hannah, hold on."
"That's right. My dad would even roll in shit, but now it's your turn." She screamed, her eyes slowly changing colour.
"What the fuck? This bitch's crazy."
"What the hell is wrong with her? You better fuck off while I'm still being nice." The brunette snarled.
"Hey, let's get out of here. Look at her expression, she's gone nuts." The guy said and was about to run off when Hannah ran ahead of him and grabbed him by the neck.
"So she was indeed a vampire." Zuriña confirmed as she watched the male student try to wiggle out his way as she slowly raised him, his back pinned to the wall.
"Why are you so strong?...Do you wanna get fucked up...along with your miserable dad?" He coughed.
"You're the one who's getting fucked up today."
"Hey kid." She flinched on hearing someone behind her. Kaiwan came at the perfect time.
"Didn't I see you at school, today?"He asked and he turned to the male student.
"But wow, your strength is really amazing...how can you lift a person with a hand? I mean your arms are so thin... " He flexed his muscles and pointed at his arm as Hannah dropped the boy.
"See what I mean...by any chance, are you..."
No, Zuriña said to herself.
That wasn't the plan. If he came out directly, it would be difficult to win her over later.
Hannah broke into a cold sweat and Zuriña could see she was panicking.
"A weightlifter. You are, right?" He asked and Zuriña heaved a sigh of relief.
"Ah yes, I used to be a weight lifter." She replied, avoiding his eyes.
A movement caught Zuriña's eyes and she turned to see the brunette trying to reach for a huge stone and she guessed she was aiming to hit Hannah with that.
She raced downstairs in time to see the brunette running towards Hannah, the stone in her hand.
"Hey Hannah, you crazy ass bitch."She screamed and Zuriña hurried over to obstruct her way, before she hurt Hannah.
"Get out of the way." The brunette snarled and made to hit Zuriña who dodged.
"I'd run off if I were you."
"Who are you to tell me what to do?"She asked and tried to attack her but she avoided it again before kicking the girl at the leg.
"Seriously, I swear kids these days..." She was saying when the male student made to attack her but she grabbed his arm to throw him over her shoulder.
"You...you guys are thugs, right? We're the victims so why are you siding with that bitch. I want to call the police." The brunette yelled and Zuriña slanted her eyes to Kaiwan.
"She's looking for you, detective."
He whistled as he looked away."I don't see anything."
"It hurts. Let us go.Can't you see I'm injured?" The guy cried and Zuriña walked up to them, a scowl on her face.
"Well, that's a relief you can call pain...but despite knowing that why did you pick on someone else's pain?"
It was a hassle the next day at school.
The news spread fast and Zuriña wondered how they knew she stood up to bullies.
The hallway was crowded with students following her as she walked past, accompanied by Kaiwan.
"Cuff me detective." One asked.
"Do you go all out when you face a criminal?"
"This guy hasn't paid me the money he borrowed. You need to arrest him." Another said.
As if she could.
"You're so cool detective."A blonde said.
"I... I'm just..." She was saying when the girl turned to Kaiwan for a minute before returning her eyes back to her.
'You even have a tall and trustworthy subordinate, that's so awesome."
Kaiwan turned to her, pretending to look upset. "Actually, I'm the dete..."
Surprise crossed her face on seeing a familiar face walking on the stairs.
"Huh, she's that student." She said as they walked towards her.
"Hannah, you're Hannah, right? Do you remember us from yesterday?" She asked.
Hannah looked like she was about was going to say something but she paused and started to walk away.
She was about to follow her when someone she hated seeing materialized in front of her.
Sahan.
"Going somewhere?" He asked.
She made to attack him when Kaiwan grabbed her arm.
"Can we go have lunch? I'm starving."
She turned to glare at him and he slowly shook his head.
"I believe you guys must be lost then. The cafeteria is the other way. Do have a great lunch." He said and turned to follow Hannah.
"Why did you stop me?"
"You could have ruined our plan."He replied and started to pull her up the stairs.
"Where are we going?"
"A place we can talk properly." He said.
No one was at the rooftop when they arrived and Kaiwan bolted the door before he walked over to sit on one of the benches as she looked at the view.
"Aren't you coming over?"
"Sure." She replied as she walked to sit beside him. "Nothing has happened despite investigating for the past three days."
"What do you think he's planning? Sahan hasn't showed signs of growing restless or made any moves since we came. He's different from others."
"He's already turned Hannah into a vampire, so we'll need to get him before he does something worse."
"I feel the same but we need to be especially careful around him. He's a lot terrifying than Lucian could ever be." He said.
"But I didn't notice anything peculiar about him."
"Which is why he's more dangerous."
"What do you..."She was saying when he rose up.
"There was a huge incident in Vegas seven years ago. A group of vampires came together to try to take Sahan's position as angel of death. They were a group of infamous vampires and thugs and each individual was actually stronger than Sahan."
"But you're telling me Sahan was able to survive that fight?" She asked.
"That's right. He wasn't just able to survive it, there wasn't a single hair on his body that was harmed."
Her eyebrows widened."What? How?"
"By doing this..." He paused to snap his fingers. "...hypnosis."
"So we can't attack him head-on." She seaid
"Right. You may be a pureblood, but we don't know if hypnosis will still affect you or not, so we need to find another way."
"No, we'll need do something."
"Huh?"
"We need to train our minds stronger."
Sahan opened his office's door and and Hannah walked out as enchanted vampire. He'd heard of the previous night's incident and to avoid a repeatition of that, he'd hypnotized her again, harder than the first.
"For the time being, don't get emotional or make yourself stand out."He told her.
"I understand, doctor." She replied and he closed the door once she'd left and turned to trail his finger over the books on the shelves.
"No matter how strong one becomes, if their minds surrenders, then their strength becomes nothing but dust...It looks like it's time for me to start making my move to catch that pureblood.",
"
