"...But you know, a course should have appetizers for you to enjoy the food. Isn't that right?" He asked and the students started tropping out of the building.
"That's a lot of appetizers, don't you think?" Kaiwan asked, referring to the students.
"How dare filthy trash like you, take the students as hostages?"
The students made to attack her but she snapped her fingers before they could come close, rendering them powerless though hypnotized.
A wicked smile crossed his lips and she glared at him.
"Sahan, you've ruined these students lives. You've turned them into your puppets before they even had the chance to pursue their dreams. If you free the students from your hypnosis...I'll at least make your death as painless as possible."
He laughed as he clapped his hands.
"You do talk a good game. Do you have any idea how it is for these students to live as powerless humans?...Of course, you don't. You were a vampire from birth."
He paused, walking through the crowd. "These kids had incredibly miserable lives. It was honestly heartbreaking, but nobody offered to help them.Traumatic experiences like being bullied or physically abused by a single parent stay with a child forever....These memories will affect them for the rest of their lives. I think they're better off living the rest of their lives as vampires if the alternative is to living them to continue living their hellish lives. I merely gave these kids an opportunity to live five happy years rather than live fifty miserable..."
She scoffed. "I've heard enough. Are you done talking? I think you are done reeling off those pathetic excuses." She turned to Kaiwan. "Detective, take Hannah somewhere safe."
"Can you handle him on your own?"He whispered.
"Trust me."
He sighed. "I'll leave it up to you, then." He replied and turned to head out of the school.
"So you think I'm just making up excuses?" He cracked his neck as he raised his hand. "Listen to me."
*******
"This is..."
"I've got it. I know why other people were completely hypnotized while Hannah wasn't affected as severely. The one thing that sets her apart is...her hearing. She lost some of her hearing at child birth. You've figured out how to beat Sahan now, right?"
"Of course, when he tries to make a move,I'll attack him before he can hypnotize me."
*******
She raced towards him and punched him on the face before he could snap his fingers and he went sliding towards a wall.
"That's unfair, you know you can't just attack me while I'm in the middle of something. But it's fine....Thanks to that last attack,I was able to figure something out. Getting punched by a pureblood isn't bad."He wiped his mouth as he rose.
"There's no need for me to be so scared. I would have come after you sooner if I had known this before."
She snorted. "Yeah, I'm sure it wasn't too bad. After all, I only hit you with a fraction of my true power."
"That's a good line. Do you want to know why? You don't deserve a swift death. I'm going to make sure your death is slow and painful." He said and she hurried over to hit him. Since she already knew his weak point, killing him was going to be easier than Lucian.
A migraine suddenly attacked her head while punching him and she felt her head splitting into pieces.
"You shouldn't have been so hasty." He scowled, and he ran his fingers on his bloodly lip.
What was going on? She definitely attacked him before he snapped his fingers.
"It's true I hypnotize people using sounds but snapping my fingers isn't the only trigger. Stop trying to attack me blindly for a moment and... listen to me."
Darn. He had included that line when he was talking to her earlier.
The migraine attacked her further, the more she thought about it and the ground seemed shaky and she staggered, trying to find her balance.
"But that was just a fraction of my true power. There's more to come...I've prepared something special just for you."
"I can't move my body. It's okay, I've been through this before." She thought. It wouldn't be hard to break free from...
The scene around her changed to an unfamiliar place. What was going on? She thought and her eyes fell on a horrible sight. Father Michael was before her and a monster was eating out his neck.
She tried to hurry over but she couldn't move her legs. What was that monster that was attacking him?
The monster turned to her and her eyes fell on its' blood stained fangs.
Was that her?
Father Michael turned to her, pain in his eyes and tears welled up in her eyes.
"Father."
"Zuriña, you're the cause of all these misfortunes that has happened to everyone. If you really want to help the people you love, you need to end it now..."
Tears crawled down her cheeks as she slowly raised her hand to her heart.
He was right.
She had to end it now, she said to herself as her claws scrapped her blouse.
