“Get the fuck away from my mate” Ashton pushed Alpha Reid off Hava causing a huge dent to the wall.
“Your mate” Alpha Reid picked the words correctly rethinking if he had heard wrong.
“Are you okay?” He turned towards Hava ignoring him completely, he could see the marks of Alpha Reid’s hands on her neck and he was pissed.
When he heard that Alpha Reid was interrogating Hava, he thought the worst, when he arrived he found him strangling Hava to death that he couldn’t hold back his anger.
“Yes, I’m fine” she said feeling relieved that he was there with her.
“Did I just hear you say mate?” Alpha Reid yelled drawing the attention back to him, he had just heard Ashton call her his mate and even watched him display his affection towards her. It only made him realize that he hadn’t heard wrong and Ashton really referred to her as his mate.
“Yes, she is my mate” Ashton replied not hiding it any longer, he had already blurted it out in a fit of rage and there was no use in lying to cover it up because the truth was already out.
“Since when?” Alpha Reid asked.
“Since the day you took her away from her pack, I can bet you do not recognize me at all.
The omega who always served you whenever you visited the Crescent moon pack” he reminded him of the times that they had met before he became his Gamma.
Back then he had to watch Alpha Reid get intimate with Hava and he couldn’t do anything about it because he was just a lowly omega.
“That was you, how did you then become my Gamma” he asked.
“I had to earn my way if I had to take my mate back from you” Ashton stated.
He worked day and night just to be found worthy and when he had passed the tests made by Alpha Reid, he was then given the opportunity to be the Gamma bringing him closer to Hava once again.
His confession made Hava realize the truth, he had gone to the Dark moon pack just to be with her even though he denied it was just a coincidence.
“So all these while all you wanted was her” Alpha Reid said realizing what was going on and how he had been played from the start by a man he thought would be loyal to him forever and would never go against him.
Ashton kept quiet as he looked at him protecting Hava right behind him.
“I can already guess that you are the father of the child” Alpha Reid said. He didn’t need to be told twice to know that Ashton was the one who got Hava pregnant, she was his mate and it was only right that she wanted him and that was why she always resisted his touch.
“I am the father” He replied and Alpha Reid felt betrayed, both by his Gamma and also by his mistress. He could never get used to that feeling.
“You betrayed me Gamma” he said.
“I was never loyal to you, all i cared about was my mate and how to get her back from you” Ashton blurted out not scared of him, he stood his ground ready to fight him if it came to that. He would do anything to protect Hava and the unborn baby.
“Don’t make it look like I took her from you, she was the one who choosed me in the first place and the only reason she accepted you was because she was suffering here and needed someone to comfort her” Alpha Reid stated.
It wasn’t entirely his fault that he took Hava away from her pack, she had choosen to be with him because she wanted to live a life of luxury.
Hava kept her head down in shame because that was the truth, she had rejected Ashton because she was more attracted to Alpha Reid and wanted to leave a good life like Bella but when she saw what she had gotten herself into she changed her mind but that didn’t change the fact that she had fallen madly in love with Ashton and couldn’t live without him and he had forgiven her for what she did to him.
“I am well aware about that but all that is in the past, she belongs to me now and I will never give her back to you” He muttered looking past what Hava had done to him, he had genuinely forgiven her and accepted her despite her shortcomings and the emotional pain she caused him.
“I see you have already made up your mind seeing that you betrayed me and went into one of my mistresses” Alpha Reid said and in no time the room was surrounded by guards brought in by the Beta. He had mind linked him to bring as many guards as possible to make sure that Ashton doesn’t escape him.
Ashton looked around him and saw that he was outnumbered, there was no way he was going to escape so many guards without harming him or Hava which wasn’t what he wanted.
“You brought this upon yourself Ashton now you have to suffer the consequences” he said ordering the guards to take him out.
“No, let him go” Hava struggled with them but she was also held down by other guards, she watched as Ashton was taken away from her and she cried about it.
“Seal the windows and bound her with chains so that she won’t be able to escape” He ordered the remaining guards and they did as he commanded and then locked Hava in the room.
Rebecca watched all that happened with a smirk on her face, everything played out so perfectly that she applauded herself for it. Now there were no more obstacles on her path.
Alpha Reid walked past her and he looked completely broken, she had seen that look on him before. It was the same look he had when he found out that the child Lily was carrying wasn’t his.
She didn’t feel bad about what she did to Hava and Ashton because she believed they deserved it for trying to double cross her. As for Alpha Reid, she knew just what to do to cheer him up and lift his spirits once again.
Rebecca waited until it was late in the night before she went to him, he was so down that he couldn’t resist her. She gave her body to him as he had sex with her until the moon disappeared from the sky revealing the clear skies and she was breathless laying on his bed and in his arms.
