Hava woke up the next morning with a splash of water from Rebecca,
“What in the hell?” She yelled but immediately calmed down when she saw Rebecca staring at her with her arms crossed.
“How long have you been sleeping, did you realize it was time for you to serve me” she said raising her voice.
“I am sorry I overslept” she pleaded and got on her feet.
“I need my breakfast in a three minutes” Rebecca commanded and walked out.
Hava pulled her wet hair to the back as she sighed, it was going to be another day of hard labour, she muttered to herself.
She made some fried rice and presented it before Rebecca when the other mistresses walked in demanding theirs, she had to go back to the kitchen to make more and brought it to them. When she got back she realized that Rebecca hadn’t touched her food and she thought something was wrong.
“Is there anything wrong with the food” she asked in fear.
“Microwave it, it’s cold” Rebecca tossed the food to her and it almost poured on her body. She hastily went to the kitchen and did as she said when she came back, the others hadn’t also touched their food.
“Microwave theirs too, they were waiting for mine” Rebecca ordered and Hava was annoyed.
“But it is going to take time and besides their food is still warm and they can eat it” she objected.
“Are you opposing my authority you bitch” Rebecca slapped her hard across the face and she fell to the ground.
The door swung open and Ashton walked in to have his food prepared by the omegas, a young girl walked in after him and dropped a plate at a different table for him.
“Good morning ladies” he greeted as he walked past them.
“Good morning Gamma” they all chorused except Hava, she picked herself from the floor and thought of challenging Rebecca now that the Gamma was there.
“I said it would take a longer time, I cannot do it” Hava reacted and they all looked at her surprised. Rebecca turned to Gamma Ashton and realized he had cut his mind off from what was happening between them, she threw her food all over Hava from her head to her toes and picked up the plates of the rest and rained it down on her.
Hava stood there traumatized by such act, she had never been so maltreated in her life.
“When I talk to you, you make sure that you listen” Rebecca pushed her head until she fell to the ground.
She grabbed her by the hair, “Now eat” she commanded her to eat the food on the floor.
“Do I look like a dog to you” Hava asked, this was the time for Ashton to save her but he wasn’t doing anything, was he going to let her be treated like this.
“That is exactly what you are, now eat” Rebecca ordered pushing her head to the ground.
“No” she reverted.
“What did you say?”
“I said no” Hava announced,
“You animal” Rebecca kicked her in the stomach, she slapped her face hard and blood came out of her mouth,
“It seems you woke up with a rebellious spirit, I will send it out of you” she beat her up some more until she had bruises on her face and body. She grabbed her by the hair and pushed her head down,
“Now eat” she ordered.
Hava had still expected Ashton to save her but he did nothing, she had no choice than to do as Rebecca had asked, she picked a spoon about to eat from the floor when Rebecca grabbed the spoon from her hand.
“Eat with your mouth just like a dog” she commanded.
Hava bent down with tear forming in her eyes, she opened her mouth and took a mouthful in.
“Such a good dog” Rebecca commented and they all laughed, Hava felt so humiliated yet she couldn’t do anything, the man she thought would help her had turned his back on her. He really meant it when he said he was going to act like she didn’t exist, it hurt so much that they would do that to her while he was there and he did nothing to defend her.
Ashton stood up from his chair making a sound as the chair fell down, he walked towards them with his eyes fixed on Hava, a smile formed on her face happy that he was going to help her but she was shocked when she saw him walk past without saying a word.
“I told you no one would help you” Rebecca said and pushed her into eating more, the tears in Hava’s eyes broke out and she cried her pain out.
“What a baby we have here” Lily teased and they made jest of her, she was made to eat more until they were satisfied by that.
“Make sure to clean all our rooms once you are done tidying up, I will inspect them and if I find any dirt then you will regret crossing path with me” Rebecca said and they all left her alone.
Immediately they left, Hava vomited all that she had eaten, she kept crying as she cleaned up the mess, it was all getting too much for her to handle.
After she was done, she cleaned all the rooms making sure they were spotless from dirt or dust, she rounded up everything in the night going back to rest in her room when she found Ashton seating outside staring at the night sky.
She got so mad that he would be relaxing when she was suffering.
“You know you have some fucking nerves to do that” she barged in on his peaceful moment.
“Can’t I just have a moment of rest atleast for an hour” he barked at her but she didn’t mind, she walked closer to him and turned him towards her.
“How could you turn a blind eye to what they did to me” she screamed.
“You are not my responsibility Hava, i had told you I would act like I don’t know you.
Were you expecting me to save you?, are you some damsel in distress or a Cinderella?” He asked and she bit her lips furious. He had point, she wasn’t a fairytale princess who needed some saving but she had atleast thought he would stick his neck out for her.
“You should have atleast stopped them” she said.
“And what if you deserved it huh?
You had come here looking for greener pastures, to be the Luna of a pack but only turned out to be a mistress and not just a mistress but also a maid, how does this perfect life work for you” he mocked and she could feel it from his tone.
“You shameless man” she slapped him for throwing those brutal words at her.
Ashton clenched his fist in anger as he looked at her,
“What, is it so painful to say the truth to your face.
You used to act like you were some kind of Queen just because you were the Alpha’s daughter, you rejected your own mate to be with an Alpha and this is what you turned out to be.
Tell me Hava, is your daddy not able to save you from this” he added and she got so mad and wanted to slap him again but he grabbed her hand.
“Don’t lash out your anger on me, I have nothing to do with your predicament” he pushed her off and she almost fell.
“I hate you, I hate you so much that I wish you were dead” she muttered and he sharply turned to her.
“Do you think I care about that, you can hate me all you want but that wouldn’t change anything, you are nothing but a mistress to me” he answered her.
“I hate you,
I hate you,
You are so mean and cruel” she chanted those words and he just watched her act crazy without a hint of emotion on his face.
“If you are done with your craziness can you leave” he needed his peaceful moment once again.
“No, I am not done…” before she could finish talking he had walked away. Hava watched him go and she couldn’t stop him, she wondered if he had always been like that or did he just change recently. Even if he hated her and didn’t want anything to do with her, she had thought he would atleast protect her from the worst but she was wrong. His heart had become cold as ice and it was all her fault.
