Bella arrived at the Crescent moon pack in the morning with the help of Gamma Lucian. She hadn't seen Alpha Coast since the night he allowed her to leave.
She went to her old house hoping to stay there for a day before she sought for a much better place to let go of her past. She wanted to go as far away from Coast as possible until he would never be able to find her.
She opened the door to her room and found the things she left still intact but dusty, she picked up a a picture she had snapped with her brother Olive and she felt sad just looking at his happy face.
She felt a thorn in her heart and couldn't help but hold her chest from the misery of being alone and without her family.
She went back to the parlour and she found her mom smiling at her.
"Bella, you are back?" She said and Bella was stunned to see her.
"Mom" she called out surprised.
"You look stressed out young child, did your brother make you run?" Her father asked holding a tray of cookies while walking towards the table.
"Coming through" Olive ran past them almost falling the tray of cookies down, he crashed in his mother's arms while she tickled him making him laugh.
"Have a taste Olive and see if Daddy's cooking is better than mummy's" Isaiah said raising a cookie to his mouth and he had a big bite.
"Hmm" he exclaimed with a smile winking at his father as they nodded their head in unison.
"Mom is better" he said and ran away from his now furious father.
"I knew it, you can't beat my home cooking" Whitney bragged over her first success of the cooking battle they had.
"Just wait until I get you" Isaiah threatened Olive and he hid behind the chair before running to hide behind Bella.
Isaiah raised his eyes to his daughter,
"How about you Bella, would you have a taste of Daddy's cooking" he asked and she smiled, she walked over to the table and picked up a cookie when everything faded instantly.
She had played the whole scenario in her head because she missed her family so much, she was deeply hurt by it and wished they were all together again, the cookie she thought was in her hand was an old mug all dusty making her hands dirty.
She dropped the mug back on the table and sighed.
"I miss you guys, I miss you all so much" she cried out and a drop of tear fell from her eyes expressing her pain and grief. She wanted the good life she once had but it was all gone and would never come back again.
Bella stayed at her old home until the evening then she opted to visiting her uncle to give them her last goodbye before leaving.
It took a while for Alpha Nathan to appear but his mate Diana never came out because she was grieving over her daughter Hava. He invited her to his office where she waited for him.
"Uncle" Bella hugged him immediately she saw him, he let out a faint smile but immediately pushed her away from him making her question if she did something wrong.
"How are you Bella?" He asked and she smiled at him.
"I'm okay, how is everything here" she asked yet he didn't spare her a glance.
"Why are you here?" He neglected her question, Bella was thrown off by his sudden rash reaction,
"Did I do something wrong?" She asked and he frowned.
"Are you here to visit us?" He asked grumpily, his thoughts were clouded by how he would save his daughter from Alpha Reid that he didn't care about the presence of his niece in front of him giving her a hostile reaction.
"Yes, I am here to bid my final goodbye" she said with a heavy heart, Bella thought that Alpha Coast had given him a heads up about what had happened which was why he was angry with her.
"Are you leaving?
What about Alpha Coast" he asked now listening to her.
"We separated, I was allowed to leave" she replied and his eyes peaked up in utter disbelief, would his dear niece be able to make the man who had sworn to destroy his pack if he didn't give him a bride set her free just like that. He thought about Hava and wondered if the same thing could happen to Hava.
"So he just set you free like that" he asked doubting that such a thing could happen, He knew Alpha Coast to be much worse than himself or Alpha Reid, when he had something, he would never let it go no matter what happens.
"Yes, we had our differences and we figured that it was best if we separated" she answered striking a new thought into his mind.
"Did he find his mate?" He questioned.
Finding his mate was the only reason He thought Alpha Coast could actually let Bella go, maybe he didn't want to be caught up in a twisted relationship between his mate and his new mistress who would be Bella.
"No" she lied.
Bella feared that if she told him she was his mate then he would send her back claiming mates ought to be together. The last thing she wanted was to go to the Red moon pack and meet the man who had murdered her whole family. It would drive her crazy to the core.
"So you are a free woman" he stated as he accessed it all.
"Yes" Bella answered awkwardly.
She watched him stand up from his chair and kneel in front of her, She felt like Deja vu, the last time he did something like that he had given her off to Coast as a bride in place of Hava, she hoped it wouldn't be the same thing again.
"Bella please help me" Alpha Nathan pleaded.
"What is wrong Uncle?" She asked bothered.
"It's your cousin Hava, please help me save her" he begged still on his knees. Bella was completely and utterly confused, she couldn't understand what was really going on as she stared at her uncle in despair.
"What happened to Hava?" She asked.
"She was taken by another Alpha and kept as his mistress, right now she is going through hell at the hands of the other mistresses" he stated hiding the fact that Hava had agreed to be with Alpha Reid in the first place.
"What!" Bella exclaimed.
"You are the only one who could help her, remember she is your cousin" he begged now standing up and holding her hand, he looked at her like a father would to his daughter with pitiful eyes.
"How can I help her?" She asked if she could be of any help wondering why he couldn't help his own daughter.
"Please trade places with her, I cannot see my daughter suffering like that" he blurted out and Bella pulled her hand from his, she looked at him with disappointment and contempt.
"What did you just say?" She asked sprunging up from her seat,
Did he just ask her to trade places with his daughter by ending up being the mistress to the said Alpha.
"You are telling me to take the place of your daughter and be a mistress, how did she get there in the first place.
Considering how materialistic your daughter is, I believe she was the one who put herself in that position" she yelled at him.
"Please Bella, for the sake of the family that we share, please help me, please take my daughter's place" he tried to use a soft tone to coax her into listening to him.
"So you are telling me to suffer for the second time at the hands of another Alpha, is that what you think of me.
Am I a rebound for your daughter?" She asked him broken that he would do such a thing to her, her whole life became a living hell because he had persuaded her into trading places with his daughter and he would dare to do that to her again.
"You know Hava deserves to be happy" he replied sounding selfish and conceded to her, how could she have been so blind to not see that he had always been like that.
"So I don't deserve happiness, you sent me to my death and I miraculously survived it and now you want to send me to another torment.
If I remember correctly, your daughter killed my child, do you think I would do anything for someone who had hurt me like that" she lashed out.
"Only you can help me" Alpha Nathan had decided to exchange his daughter with Bella hoping Alpha Reid would accept it and set his daughter free.
"Never, I will never do that" she yelled at him waking towards the door when she heard what she would never believe is possible.
"I should have killed you along with your family" Alpha Nathan whispered and she heard him loud and clear.
