Hava and Ashton snuck out of the pack house for a little sprint, their wolves had been dying to know each other for a while now.
Once they were further into the woods Hava changed into her wolf and Ashton changed into a grey wolf, they ran together into the woods enjoying the feeling of being together.
After a while of running, they both stopped by the borderline, Daisy snuggled underneath Leo, Ashton's wolf. The closeness between them could show how much Daisy loved Leo.
"Just look at how submissive she is but when she is talking to me, she is as hostile as ever" Hava couldn't help but comment at how clingy Daisy was acting to Leo.
"Leo loves it" Ashton replied.
He was finally able to keep his promise and give Leo a chance to be with his mate, he had been longing for it for a while now and it was about time.
"I can tell" she replied.
With the way Daisy was with Leo, Hava understood why she was furious with her and warned her to not reject Ashton, she was already in love with Leo and recognized him as her mate.
She choose to abandon her even at her dire moment to make sure that she doesn't lose him.
They played along with each other for another while before the decision to go back to the pack house was finally made, Daisy was sad about it as she sat down just staring at Leo, Leo returned back to her burying his head underneath her neck.
"We have to go Daisy or we might get caught" Hava advised, what they were doing was dangerous but they had to risk it all so that they could be together.
"You get to be with him all the time, why don't I get the same thing" she sulked.
"We will work on that very soon, I promise you" Ashton replied instead, he hadn't forgotten that his place was not in the Red moon pack, not now that Hava had accepted him and they were mates.
"You promise Ashton" Leo stated with a hint of concern wondering if such promise could ever come true.
"I promise" he replied him.
"Now let's go back before we get caught" he added as they sprinted back to where they had kept their clothes in the woods.
They changed back to their clothes ready to leave when Hava held his hand,
"I need to tell you something" she said.
Hava thought it was about time he knew about Rebecca and the fact that she knew the truth about them.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Rebecca..."
Hava wasn't given a chance to finish the sentence before she fainted in his arms.
"Hava" he shook her body and realized that she was burning up, he rushed her to the hospital immediately.
Two hours later, Hava woke up with a splitting headache.
"Where am I?" She asked touching her forehead.
"The hospital" he answered, his face was full of worry waiting for her to wake up.
"What happened?" She asked confused, she was in the middle of telling him something and the next thing she knew she was in the hospital.
"You passed out" he answered her curious question.
Hava tried to get up but he pushed her back to lay down,
"The doctor said you need more rest, she just finished running a few tests on you" he stated.
"Ashton I need to tell you something?" She said again but the door flew open and the doctor walked in.
Ashton's attention instantly drew to the doctor as he stood up from his seat,
"Is she okay?" He asked her with his head hung low.
"She is perfectly fine and so is the baby" the doctor spilled.
"Baby!" They both yelled in unison shocked by such news.
"Yes, she is pregnant" the doctor continued and their jaw dropped in shock.
"I'm sorry, did you just say she is pregnant?" Ashton asked to clarify if he heard wrong.
He couldn't believe his ear that Hava was actually pregnant, it is true they have been intimate for months but he had never thought of such a possibility.
"Yes, she is two week pregnant" the doctor replied and Ashton stepped back in fear.
Hava was instantly shaking on hearing such news, she could feel her whole world was beginning to crumble. Not only was she in relationship with Ashton behind the Alpha's back but she was now pregnant for him.
"That's not possible" she shaked her head in shock.
"Will you tell the Alpha about it?" The doctor asked, such news was meant for Alpha to hear because the doctor believed he was the father.
"Very soon, but please could you keep this a secret for now.
The Alpha is going through a lot with the pack's problems right now and also dealing with having an heir and the Luna ceremony.
It would be best to keep it under wrap for now" he persuaded the doctor.
"I have no problems with that, it is your duty to tell him not mine" the doctor replied and then left them alone in the room.
Hava was so scared that she almost wanted to cry, her whole body was shivering in fear of what to do. Ashton turned to her and he was also scared too but showing it to her would only make matters worse.
"Hava, listen to me, it's alright.
I will find a way" he said holding her hands to stop them from shaking.
"What if we get caught, what if the Alpha finds out and think it is his child" She blurted out.
Her worst fear was anything that would separate her from Ashton, she had seen how clingy Alpha Reid acted with Lily, he made sure that she was always with him and she hated to be anywhere near him.
"He won't, I won't let the Alpha claim my child" Ashton assured her.
The last thing he wanted was for anything that belonged to him being snatched away by another man.
Alpha Reid had already taken Hava from him keeping her as his mistress, even though they were together, Hava was still regarded as Alpha Reid's mistress.
Now that she has a child, he might want to claim the child too and he couldn't sit still and watch that happen.
"Ashton, I am so scared" Hava expressed, she gripped his shirt staring at him.
"How about we run away,
you and I can run away before the Alpha even finds out that you are pregnant" he suggested as his last resort.
Eloping with Hava seemed like a perfect idea at the moment, he could take her away from her there without anyone knowing, besides he now knew the pack very well like the palm of his hand.
"But this pack is heavily guarded, don't you remember what happened when we went on a date" she reminded him of the tragic incident where she was searched for in the pack by Alpha Reid because he thought she had tried to escape.
If he was able to panic like that before then it meant that he was able to do it again.
"I know but we have no other choice, I don't want anything bad to happen to you because I swear if he finds out about the child and tries to claim him then I might blurt out the truth.
I can't bear to have him take what's mine again" Ashton stated with full assurance.
He gripped her by the shoulders,
"Listen Hava, I need a little time to get a few things in place and I promise I won't take long.
I will get us out of here and that is a vow but in the mean time could you try not to act scared in front of the Alpha or make any suspicious move.
I can't risk anyone knowing of our plans to elope" he requested of her.
Getting her out of the pack swiftly and without getting caught was a tough plan that needed days and a few allies. At the moment Ashton had none of that because the news of the pregnancy came so sudden, he needed time to think about it all and then execute it to get them out safely.
"Promise me you will be careful" he begged of her.
"I promise" she replied and he took her back to the pack house.
Later that night, Ashton was invited to the Alpha's office for a chat.
Alpha Reid sat in his office when Ashton walked in taking his seat.
"Ashton, do you know what loyalty is?" Alpha Reid struck the first question startling him, Ashton suddenly became tensed up thinking the Alpha had something against him.
"You see, it's not everytime that you have someone as loyal as you, I have been watching you Ashton and I can see how dedicated you are to issues concerning this pack, we need more men like you" Alpha Reid stated and he instantly calmed down.
He had thought that Alpha Reid already knew the truth about Hava's pregnancy and was questioning his loyalty to see if he would tell him the truth.
"Thank you Alpha" he smiled lightly.
"Being an Alpha isn't easy, when my parents were alive, all they wanted was a grandchild and now that they are gone, I now have a child.
Isn't life funny?" Reid said laughing g hysterically.
If Ashton didn't know any better that wolves couldn't get drunk then he would have thought Alpha Reid was actually drunk.
"It is indeed" he answered.
"I have an heir just when she claimed I wouldn't" he stated confusing him about the she he was talking about.
"Who?"
"My dead mate, she was as beautiful as an angel but she always wanted more, I was never enough for her" Alpha Reid sulked over his dead mate and Ashton just sat quietly listening to him pour out his heart.
"I have never been this happy and sad in my life" he expressed.
"Why is that?" Ashton asked.
"Hmm,
I am sad because my mate is dead and she couldn't give me an heir much to my expectation but I am also happy that I got an heir after all, the next Alpha to the Red moon pack" he disclosed to him acting drowsy and weak.
"Ashton, have you found your mate?" He asked.
Ashton was in a dilemma of what to answer, if he told him 'YES' then he would request that she be brought to him and if he told him 'NO' then he would be denying Hava.
"I" he paused.
"You don't have a mate because if you did then you wouldn't hesitate to show her to me right" he answered for him and Ashton nodded in his in affirmation.
"You see why I say you are so loyal" he commented.
Ashton instantly felt guilty hearing that, he rubbed his thighs to calm himself down.
