Bella went to visit Luther at the orphanage home he was kept with other little kids like him who had no parents and were given special care in the pack.
She walked up to his room and opened the door only to found out that he was missing.
“Where is Luther?” She asked the matron in charge of taking care of them.
“He should be in his room Luna, he hasn’t stepped down since morning” The matron answered knowing fully well the activities of the kids under her care.
“I am just coming from his room and he is not there, do you think he might have gone somewhere?” She asked.
“Aside from visiting you in the castle, Luther is very conservative and doesn’t like going out on his own.
I will be sure to look for him and bring him to the castle” the matron replied and Bella returned back to the castle.
“Where is Luther?” Alpha Coast asked once she walked into his office. She had told him that she was going to bring him over so that they could spend some time together and he was eager to see the young man he had grown keen to.
“He will be brought here, he wasn’t at home when I got there” she relayed to him taking a seat as she waited for them.
Alpha Coast continued with his work too using it as a way to wait.
After an hour the matron came running to the office panting twice as hard,
“Alpha, Luna” she greeted waiting for the permission to speak further.
“Yes, Where is Luther?” Bella asked her.
“He is missing, we have searched everywhere for him and he is nowhere to be found” the matron replied.
“What do you mean he is missing, you just told me that he doesn’t like going out on his own so tell me how a kid like that would end up being missing” Bella was furious as she bolted from her seat ranting.
“I am so sorry Luna” the matron apologized.
“Are you sure that you have searched everywhere for him, the pack is big enough and he might be hiding somewhere” Alpha Coast asked.
“Alpha we have searched everywhere for him and there is no trace of him, Luther still isn’t familiar with this pack so he couldn’t have gone far on his own and we would be able to find him by now but he had just disappeared without a trace” She stated.
“Is that even possible?” Bella screamed furious at her for missing Luther when he was under her care.
The lady pulled out a letter from her pocket showing it to them,
“We found this under his pillow, it had your name on it Luna” she said and Bella took it from her reading it.
“Dear Bella, if you are reading this letter then the abduction of Luther has been successful and he is now in my custody. Don’t bother searching for him anywhere in your pack before he is long gone. I will keep him in my custody but I can’t guarantee how long he is going to stay alive. This should be a reminder to you that you shouldn’t have messed with me in the first place. If you want Luther back then present your self to me.
Your uncle Nathan”
Bella turned to Coast in fear after reading the letter she began to think of the worst, she was so scared of what Alpha Nathan might do to Luther that she began shaking.
“That bastard” Coast sneered, Alpha Nathan had the audacity to sneak into his pack and steal Luther pissed him off greatly.
“He is just a little boy Coast, he doesn’t deserve this. He is not a part of our fight” Bella said to him. Luther was just a kid she considered as her brother because she saw a lot of her brother Olive in him. When she had saved him from Coast, she had promised she would give him a good life but right now he was kidnapped for a fight he had no hand in.
“I am well aware of that, he did that so that he could instill fear in you” Coast said knowing it was a scheme by Alpha Nathan to make Bella bend to him, he knew that she was concerned about the well-being of others more than herself and that was why he took Luther who she now considered as her little brother to make her panic but what he wasn’t sure of was if Luther is still alive or not.
“What if he kills him, I don’t want anything to happen to him. I had already lost my family once to him, I cannot lose Luther too to him” she stated and he could see the fear in her eyes for Luther. Alpha Nathan’s plan was working because Bella was thoroughly shaken and scared about what might happen to Luther.
“You will not lose him” he tried to assure her so that she could relax herself and be calm about the situation but it wasn’t working.
“What if he is already dead?” She said as her eyes bulged out in horror, Alpha Coast hated seeing her this way, it had been a while since he last saw her scared to this point.
“Don’t think the worst Bella” he replied.
“What do you expect me to think, He stepped into our pack and took Luther like it was nothing. Who knows what Luther might be going through, what if he is being tortured to death for no reason” she barked loudly at him.
She picked up the letter and walked towards the door,
“Where are you going?” He asked her.
“The letter said to give myself to him if I want Luther to live, I won’t be able to forgive myself if I am not able to save him and he ends up dead” she said.
Alpha Coast immediately grabbed her hand pulling her back.
“You cannot go to him because that is exactly what he wants, he wants to be able to control you and you giving yourself to him gives him that opportunity” he said to her knowing quite well what would happen to Bella if she gave herself to Nathan.
“What do you want me to do, I cannot sit back and let Luther suffer” she let out almost crying for him.
“Why don’t I go instead and retrieve him for you” he suggested and she wiped her tears looking up to him.
“You would do that?” She questioned him.
“Ofcourse, I love that kid and you have already considered him as family so he is my family too. I will go with my men to the pack and we would retrieve him and bring him back to you” he assured her.
“Do you promise?” She raised her pinky finger to him and he smiled, Coast could see how much she cared for Luther and he wondered if she would also panick the same way if something ever happened to him.
He crossed his hands with her sealing the promise to bring Luther back to her and only then did she sigh in relief knowing Luther would be in safe hands. She knew she could trust him to bring her young brother back to her.
Alpha Coast turned to leave when he noticed a pull holding him back, he turned and found Bella holding his shirt.
“Please be careful, for my sake” she said. He felt so touched that she cared about his well-being too that he kissed her head.
“I will” he said and left her in the office waking down the corridor.
“Arthur get me some of our finest men to depart with me immediately” he said through the mind link.
“How many of them?” Arthur asked back.
“Ten” he replied knowing how much he needed to be able to raid Alpha Nathan’s packhorse searching for Luther, his men were strong enough to stand against five of Alpha Nathan’s men with a battle of 5:1.
He stepped out of the castle and ten able bodied men were already waiting for him. They all got into the cars and left.
