I went to work as usual. I couldn’t wait to show Ethan’s photo to Stacy. I blushed to see the intimate poses when Ethan kissed my lips and neck. It was like we had already married.
I smiled, kissed the picture, and muttered, “Safe travel, my love, and come back soon to me.”
When I arrived at the library, Stacy grinned. “I think Ethan is truly a romantic guy.”
“Huh?”
“Look what I have here!”
Stacy took a box and bouquet. Before she could put both on my desk, I immediately grabbed both.
“Whoa, easy, girl! I didn’t touch anything.”
I shook my head. “It’s just that Ethan has left town again. So, I wonder when he has time to order the gifts for me. It’s more about my curiosity about the gifts.”
I searched for the cards. When finding both, I opened each of them and then read the sender’s name.
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s not from Ethan.”
“What?! Is it from Kenneth?”
I shook my head again. “No, it’s from Constantine.”
“Constantine? Who’s that?”
I took a deep breath and then opened the box without answering Stacy. It was a beautiful sexy red dress made from silk. The note on the card was, ‘I want to have dinner again with you since the last time you went home with your boyfriend. It doesn’t feel right. Then he signed it with his name.
“You will make me die of curiosity. Who is Constantine?”
“Constantine is my savior. Well, sort of. Kenneth made a problem with me again the last time you dated Red. He wanted to beat me, so I ran. But I fell and couldn’t run again. That’s when Constantine showed up and helped me.”
“Kenneth is such a poor loser. Between Ethan and Constantine, which one is more handsome?”
“I have Ethan’s pictures with me. Let me show you.” Then I grabbed my purse and took my phone. I showed Stacy my photos with Ethan.
“Whoa! Both of you are so sexy here. It looks like a prewedding photoshoot.”
I blushed. “I felt that too. When I saw the pic, I felt like I had married Ethan.”
“Well, didn’t you say that you had married him according to his world’s rule?”
“Yes, it’s true.”
Stacy stared at me. “So, how was it?”
“What?”
Stacy grinned and poked my waist. “Oh, come on. After the DVD, have you or haven’t you had time with Ethan yet?”
“Oh, that. Uh, well, it’s complicated.” I looked around. Since the visitors were busy reading and finding books, I muttered, “We have a lot of intimate moments together, but we haven’t … you know.”
“Is Ethan impotent?”
“Huh?”
“You know, his thing can’t stand and harden?”
My face was indeed crimson right now. “Oh, no, no, Ethan has no such problem like that. His thing is doing well.” I smiled as I recalled our intimate moments. “For sure, it’s not because of that.”
“It’s so odd that you two have been so intimate more than married couples but haven’t done that.” Stacy shrugged. “Well, as long as you are happy, I’m happy too.”
“I don’t know what happened, but maybe Ethan is afraid that something bad will happen to me if we do it.”
“Huh? Why?”
“Because his former spouse died the next day after they did it.”
Stacy shook her head. “Well, it’s just a coincidence.”
“Not only Ethan, but Red also told me the same. So, maybe there is something they can’t tell me yet.”
Then Stacy smiled and looked away after I mentioned Red’s name. “What?”
“Nothing.”
“Is it about Red? Oh, come on. I told you about Ethan, but you don’t tell me anything about Red.”
Stacy then whispered, “When we dated, he was so romantic, and we did it that night.”
“Oh, so both of you had done it?”
“Yeah!”
“So, how was it?”
Stacy grinned like a cat was full after being given milk. “It’s superb. Red is such an experienced lover, but he wanted to please me first.” She blushed. “Oh, and his stamina, my, oh, my. We did it for more than an hour.” Stacy giggled like a schoolgirl. “I felt so exhausted afterward, but he kissed me and hugged me all night long.”
“Wow! When my time comes, I hope I will enjoy it too as you did.”
“I think so. It’s only waiting for the right time. Also, the waiting heightens the pleasure. The anticipation, the thrill.” Stacy patted my shoulder. “Don’t worry. Your time may come sooner than you expect.”
“With Ethan, it’s different. I mean, I feel like I want to do it with him. I have never felt it with Kenneth.”
“Ah, don’t mention the loser’s name again. I’m sick of hearing it.” Then Stacy took a glance at the box. “So, is Constantine your new admirer?”
I shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe. But Constantine knew well that I had already had Ethan.”
“What’s his reaction when he knew?”
“He was calm like it’s not a big deal for him.”
“Hm, be careful. Still water runs deep.”
I nodded. “I know. Also, I didn’t feel comfortable with Constantine.”
“Why?”
“Well, he saved me from Kenneth, but how he beat Kenneth was too ruthless. He had no mercy.”
“Maybe because he’s mad to see a guy wanted to hurt a woman.”
“I don’t know. Constantine is royalty, and he offered me a job in his castle.”
Stacy whistled. “So, will you take it? I mean, his offer?”
I shook my head. “I don’t think so. Though he offered twice my salary here, I don’t feel comfortable working with him. Besides, he needs me to move and stay in the castle with him.”
“Has he done something to you?”
