Iris's POV
"Iris run!!! You should run!!!"
I could feel Rupert was going to die, and he was thinking of my safety, The last words that came into my head, were those words that Father said before he passed away, I couldn't do anything for Father and Mother back then but I have to protect Rupert, I will go crazy if he didn't make it, I don't think I will live to see the next day, if this monster killed Rupert
"No!" I yelled, using all my strength to push him off Rupert, he fell on the father's, he stared at me, I glared at him, I lifted myself from the floor, I landed on him, I buried the dagger right on his shoulder, I was brutal but he wasn't moving, my brain shattered with the thought that it's easy to end this man miserable life, with each hand I move up and down, the dagger goes to his tummy.
"Iris!" He called, my gaze moved to his eyes, and then I saw the reason he was not even hurting me, it was Rupert's blood, Rupert's blood had posses him, he was only going to protect me, never hurt me. His eyes closed when the last dagger fell on his throat, I ran off him to Rupert.
"Rupert!" I call him, and try to check his breath is still there, he is weak but he is still alive, I try to mind-link him if he replies. "Rupert, I beg you to talk to me."
"Water! I need water!'
"He just mind-linking us, he is going to be fine." Sally said she forced me to get off him and get him the water, the very moment the water went into Rupert's throat, he shut his eyes.
"Rupert! I beg you to open your eyes." He didn't reply, I mind link him but his wolf didn't reply, I cried, shaking him to wake.
"Please, I beg you, open your eyes." I cried, "I don't want to live without you, you promised to protect me right? How are you going to protect me, if you are dead?" I hit him, continuously, I wanted him to wake up, I wanted him to talk to me but he was just lying there.
Too much blood, I grabbed him and struggled to take him to the bed, it wasn't easy when I finally did, I wiped his body, and applied herbal on his skin, I wanted to mind link Mason but Sally didn't think it's a good idea, seeing their alpha lying on the bed helpless we only put us in danger, they will think we kill him.
I clean up the cave, disposing of the body of that ancient vampire, I don't care if he survived or he died but I just don't want to see him
It's been three days, Rupert has been in this mess, I sit beside him, watching him, and my tears drop, I have decided to let Mason know today because his Coronation will be in three days, and I will have to go back to the pack.
"I am sorry Rupert..."
"Alpha Rupert!" His soothing voice came out, and I turned and looked at him.
"You are up." I jumped on him forgetting that he was hurting and he just got out of comatose, as the humans call anyone that went unconscious for days.
"Yes, did you think I was going to die and leave you without keeping my promise?" I nodded as tears rolled my eyes. "Oh dear, you should know that I am an alpha and all alpha keep their promise." I hugged him again. "Hm! If you keep greeting me like this, I'm afraid, I might end up leaving you sore."
"What is that?"
"Never mind, let's train, you need to be able to control your energy, in the next two days."
"What? You should rest, you need to heal."
"Heal?" He tittered. "Was I ever hurt?" My eyes rove his body, they are clean, and not even a mark is left on him, he didn't even look like someone that was badly hurt three days bad.
"I know the bruises are gone but I still think you should rest, Rupert is..."
"Alpha Rupert!!!"
"Can you stop?" He tittered, stand from the bed, go get ready, I will wait for you outside.
"Aren't you going to wash up or..."
"Haven't you been cleaning me all this while?" I lower my gaze, the truth is, I have not only cleaned him, but I have also kissed him and even lay on his chest and that wasn't the only thing I did, I even touched his organ out of curiosity. "Did you do something else apart from cleaning me?"
"Uh!"
"Never mind, just get dressed, I am waiting outside." That was the last word he said, moving out of the cave, I facepalm. After I tied my hand in a ponytail, I slipped into my pajamas and walked out.
"Fixed your eyes on that."
"What is..."
"Shut up!" He interrupted me, and I rolled my eyes at his action, just a few minutes after waking up, he was bullying me again. It's like a crystal ball, I fixed my eyes on it. "Now try to recall everything that has happened to you."
"Okay!" I turned my neck side by side, as I tried to focus on the ball. The first thing that came to my mind was the kiss and petting I shared with Rupert three days ago but this whole mess came up.
"Why is she smiling?" Rupert murmured, I don't think he wanted to ask me that, it just flew off his lips and I heard it.
"Is it because I was kissing you..."
"Iris!"
"Hm?"
"Can you be serious for once?" He glared at me.
"How can I be serious when your arousal is invading my nostril?"
"What?" He yelled, I bet he too didn't notice that he was aroused with mere staring at me. I could see his eyes change, now he got the picture, he was unaware that he was getting aroused.
"Did you understand what I am saying now?"
"Shut up!!!"
"Rupert..."
"Alpha Rupert!!!" I rolled my eyes at him and got back to staring at the crystal ball.
"Crazy woman!!!" He murmured.
"I heard that." I riled.
"I didn't say it, so you wouldn't hear. Such a whore."
"What did you such call me?"
"I said you are a whore." He repeated it, I glared at him. "Aren't you a whore? Didn't you work in a brothel?"
"I didn't work in a brothel, I spend just one fucking night there..."
"A night, two, four, it doesn't count." His words rile me, I growl, and as my fistball, my eyes become bloody. "The bottom line is that you are a whore." When he said the last words, I lifted myself off the ground, I launched at him, my fangs and claws elongated, my gum ached badly and all I wanted was to kill Rupert.
