Iris's POV.
The sun meets my face, I try to stand on my feet then I realized that I am in shackles. "Dammit," I curse under my breath.
"Iris, are you alright?" Sally speak.
"I don't think I have any strength in me, I feel so weak. Shit! That stupid girl." I cures again.
"Now it's not time to curse, we have to get out of here."
"Sally, do you have an idea of what you are saying? We are in shackles and there is no way, we could get out of here."
"We will, Drake wolf mindlink me, he said, Drake, is going to look for help."
"So did he..." Before I could complete my words, the door flew open, revealing Hilary's malicious grin on her face.
"Hey, alpha Iris." She said pressing the shackles to the floor and hurting my hand. "Get up, make her stand on her feet."
"I could do it, don't touch me." I pulled from the guard that was trying to help me stand on my feet, Hilary wave her hand for them to let me do it myself, I struggle to get on my feet before I could stand, someone match me from behind, and I fall and bow before Hilary. Hilary laughed as I fall to her feet, she kick me off her feet.
"Alpha Iris, how are you enjoying your new life?" She grabbed the shackles. "All hail alpha Iris in shackles." She said sarcastically. "Your worse mistake is to return, you should have just disappeared and never returned."
"Or maybe, alpha Rupert throw her out." Damien's voice riles me and my wolf growl. "Iris, I thought you are smarter than this? I don't know you are stupid. Do you know who is a true alpha?" He pulled my hair off my face. "A true alpha doesn't just have the strength they are sensible, they sense danger and withdrew, they don't trust people easily and that is a true alpha but you lack it. You lack the charisma of a good alpha." He sits before me. "Did you know that, I have been watching you for those days, that my guard kept insisting that you are an imposter?" I rolled my eyes at him. "Jack never gives baseless accusations, he is always right, so right that when he begins to doubt you, I also want to know the reason he doesn't trust you and I could see through you, you know he is a threat to you, so you wanted him out of the way and all you thought of doing was to provoke him and he falls for it. And then I thought of doing you a favor, all I need is to play along with you, while playing with you, I also wanted you to enjoy the act as well, so I had him locked up and I saw your face grin, you were happy that the strongest warriors of my pack..."
"This is not your pack, Damien" I scoffed when he referred to Goldfang as his.
"So are you saying it's for you?" He slapped his hand across my face. "Iris, Goldfang pack will never belong to you, I have gone too far for you to come to take over my pack, did you see the amenities that I have put in place for these past few months, did you not see that the pack now have school, hospital and every good thing, the human is enjoying. Did you see how I am turning their one hole to paradise?"
"Stop making me laugh. You are nothing, you didn't turn this place into paradise, you turn it into hell." I spat at him.
He grabbed my face, pressing my jawbone in anger. "Oh Iris, your bravery will lead you nowhere, I will rip you apart, I will break you and this time, I will get rid of you permanently, Goldfang Pack will forget you. They will never talk about you nor will your name be recalled, you will be gone with the wind." He growled.
"Never, I will take back what rightly belongs to me." He tittered.
"Oh Iris, did you think I am stupid, I know all your plans, I know that idiot that is instigating you, are you thinking he will save you?" He snapped his fingers and they dragged those wounded warriors, my jaw drop as I see Drake's warriors badly injured. I felt bad, my stupidity had let these men hurt, and some are even lying lifeless on the floor. "did you like my little gift?"
"Damien, did you grow so heartless that you have to hurt pack members," I growled.
"Don't growl at me and don't call me, Damien because I am Alpha to you, I am Alpha Damien, little one." I snarled. He pulls my shackles, my back meets the walls as he throws me to it. "I have always suspected that you are Iris, the very day you arrived in the pack, I knew you are the one, you are the only one that smells that way, even though I have rejected you, you still have that strong effect on me and even if you wear another smell to hide your former I could still smell you." I could see Hilary's face crumpled when he said that but she masked her anger. "You should have just come to me, and I will take you back, instead of trying to take my pack from me." I glared at him, pushing my way toward him but Jack stood in front of me.
" Let me go you devil," I yelled.
"Iris, you have always been too aggressive for my liken, you are way too stubborn and I hate it, that was one of the reasons I Rejected you, you are not worthy to be called a Luna, Luna is supposed to be submissive."
"I am not your Luna, I am an alpha, the alpha of the gold Fang pack." He grabbed my face and press my jaw, this idiot, he want to damage my jaw, I thought of kneeling him on his balls, but the truth is, I will get more hurt if I do that, and I need strength.
"Let's see how the alpha will address her people." He snapped his fingers, Jack pulled Me roughly.
"You will not get away with this, you will not live to tell the story."
He jerks, acting all scared. "Tell me, who will come for you? Is it Drake? He is gone, gone with his sister, the young lady that poison you, is his sister and so I gave his sister freedom for you and he vow not to show his face to me again" My face darken and my fist clenched. Betrayal, I wanted to yell, I wanted to drive my dagger into the heart of all those who betrayed me.
'There you go again trusting people blindly. No one will come for you, no one will protect you." Jack pulled me roughly and pushed me out of the room, I was standing on the rooftop, and I could see the pack members celebrating. "On this day that I am celebrating the pregnancy of my unborn heir, I am going to take away the last heir of late alpha Bill, the family of traitors." He wanted to push me off the rooftop.
