Iris’s POV.
It seems for a moment, that time stops as Damien takes his last breath. I stand and I howled. The other wolf looks at me ready to bow before me.
"Not yet little one, not yet." Hilary walked towards me with Uncle Jason beside her. "Did you ever think killing Damien will make you the alpha?" She tittered. "Then you have something coming because until I am still alive, you will never be an alpha, you will not lord it over me."
I smirked. "Oh Hilary, I never knew you love to die, how could you be so stupid, to want to wedge war with someone with alpha blood, when you have none of that in your system?"
"And you think you could pull one over a Lycan?" She points at Jack, now I get the picture, Damien had made him the head of his armies, knowing that he is Lycan and his strength is no match for any werewolf but he got something coming, the shock of his life because right now, he is lying lifeless on the floor.
"Hilary, back off, stay away from this."
"Why? Everyone thinks that I am their Luna, and I am carrying their heir, so it's only right that I occupied the position of the alpha, I will become the custodian of the pack till the heir arrive and becomes the next alpha."
I snarled. "says who?" Then could see Uncle Jason, my father's beta, he brought out the law of the pack, I tittered. "in the face of war, the law is nothing only the strongest survive." I launch myself towards beta Jason. "who is with me? Are you with me wolves? They grunt, it only means one thing, they pick me over her. "It's never too late to back then, you should forget about being an alpha and run away, runaway Hilary, you could be a Rogue."
"Never!" She too snarled and launches her wolf at me, our paws falling on each other's shoulders.
"Careful Iris, you have nothing to worry about, I will take care of Jack." That was Rupert, he just mind link me. I grabbed Hilary from her mouth. Throwing her to the hood, and hitting her with my paws, we both fight.
"Wolves attacks" Drake grunted, now It's us against Hilary's armies, the only sound we could hear was the sound of growls and howl, from angry wolves, Mason was taking care of Uncle Jason, in as much as I wanted to be the one to kill uncle Jason, it's enough that I killed Damien, that pain of seeing his son lying lifeless on the floor is something that will never be erased from a father's head.
Just as the death of one parent can never be erased from their children's memory. Then the sound of the howl of Uncle Jason and Jack almost at the same time, they have fallen. I turned and look at Hilary that her eyes were all red.
"It's over Hilary." We both go in circles.
"Have mercy, I beg you, have mercy for my unborn pup."
This cunning woman, she wants to blackmail me into letting her live.
"Have mercy? After all that you did? I treated you like family, you were like a sister to me, you were my friend, we grow up together and you hurt me and then you asked for forgiveness." I scoffed.
"It was my father, that power-hungry father of mine, he made me do it. He fooled me and Damien, he made me do all those bad things."
"No Hilary, you fool Damien, you turned him into a beast, your father, and uncle Jason, you all turned Damien into a beast. He was greedy for power, he will never see anyone get hurt. Did you see what you made him do to the pack members? You made them live in fear, you took their happiness and gave them sorrow, you, my friend sold me off to alpha David, you wanted him to make me a prostitute, isn't it bad enough that you and Damien strip me of my right as the next alpha of this pack after killing my father." I snarled. Now she understands that her first strategies will not work for me, so she decided to change her tactics.
"Iris, you wouldn't kill your friend, you and I have come a long way and you have always said that you are going to be my pup's godmother," I smirked.
"Of cause, I am not going to kill you, I will never soil my hands with blood, I am not like you."
"Oh, Iris... I know you will never do that, tell me anything, tell me how I could make it up to you, tell me how I could prove myself." She moves closer we are the only ones on the rooftop, the others are fighting on the other side of the pack.
"Exile... Run away Hilary, run and never returned." I snarled.
"Yes, I will, as you wish, alpha Iris." She turned fast and throw her paws to my face, hitting me, I fall to the floor, and she launches at me piercing her claws to my shoulder and giving me a tear, I throw her off me.
"You cunning bastard, did you think you could win one over me."
"I don't care, this is my pack, my pack with my pups, I and my pups will rule over this territory." She growls and throws her paws on me, I howl as I hit her with my paws as well.
She becomes wild like a mad wolf, she growls as her eyes change color, they were red, burning like fire flame. She raise her front paws, standing on her back paws, I did the same thing, our tummies hit each other.
I gave a tear in her left eye, she growl and the next thing, she howled and hit me with her left paw, sending me off the edge of the rooftop, I grabbed the Cliff.
"I thought you said, I will never win one against you, watch me, win this over you again, and thank you for killing Damien." She raised her paws with her elongated claws to scratch my hand but Rupert throw her off me and pin her to the ground, he raised his claws to end the life of Hilary.
"No! Rupert." I growl, climbing off the cliff, and running to Rupert.
