Iris's POV
"Hilary!!!" One wolf howl, he runs towards me and Rupert that is standing in front of Hilary that is almost lifeless on the floor. The sky growled a loud downpour came with lighting and thunder. The rain pours heavily, and he falls on his front paws and howls.
"Alpha Iris." He growled, I turned as I look at everyone who fall to their feet and raised their mouth, as they growl. He grabbed my paws and place them on his head, as he lower his head.
My face grinned with a sweet smile and as I turned my gaze to Rupert that was standing beside me, I knew he was ready to attack the man, that was charging towards me, every other wolf howled as they bow before me and howl as well.
This night was the longest night I have ever seen in my more than eighteen years of existence.
A sweet smile creeps on my face, as the sun's rays visit my face, for the first time, in weeks, I wish that the day break and the sun smiled at me.
Those sweet words of my pack members, after the fight ended came rushing to me, as the realization dawned on me, that I am the pack members' choice.
"You don't know how happy you made us."
"You have restored our lost hope."
"You have wiped the pains that we have gone through in the hands of alpha Damien and that of his wicked Luna."
"You have revived our pack."
"We love you, Alpha Iris." I smiled more as those lovely words echoed in my head, I tug the pillow as I grinned hugging the pillow.
"Daydreaming Iris..." I turned and look at Campbell. "Sorry alpha Iris." He said closing his lips.
I smiled, as I sit on the bed. "Stop talking nonsense, you know you could always call me by my name whenever we are alone, Prince Campbell or should I say, delta Campbell."
He too smiled. "if you say so sister-in-law Iris." He mouthed the last words.
"What did you just call me?" I asked.
"Alpha?"
"No, not that."
"Iris."
"Stop it, Campbell, I know you said, sister..."
"Oh that, I called you sister, aren't you, my sister Iris." He grinned looking at how confused I was.
"I thought I heard something like sister-in-law. Didn't you hear that too Sally?" I said to my wolf.
"No, I didn't." Sally tittered In my head, I frown.
"Is there anything wrong Alpha?" Campbell questions, as he stretches water to me.
"Of cause, not, where are Rupert and the others?" I gulped on the water.
"Oh brother had stuff to fix back in the pack, you know as an alpha, he couldn’t stay long from his pack, so he asked me to stay back and watch over you."
I tittered, remembering how Rupert fought side by side with me, he was determined to protect me and to keep me safe. "what kind of delta will I be? if not follow all the instructions of his alpha?" Campbell's childish act dragged me from my thoughts. I see the reason, Rupert picks him as a delta, he is still not strong enough to handle the role of a beta.
"Wait, why did Rupert bring you here when you haven't got your wolf?" I quizzed remembering he doesn't yet have his wolf.
"Have you forgotten that I am from an alpha lineage, I don't fucking need my wolf for me to protect myself?" He wink at me, I tittered again.
"With the way you are making me laugh, those wolves might think they got a mad woman for an alpha."
He tittered, faking a frown. "No one will dare, if not my brother will have his claws buried in their stomach."
I tittered louder than before. "So tell me, who was the other guy with you?"
"Lauren?"
"Is that his name?"
"Yes, he is Rupert's gamma and cousin to the alpha family and brother Ariana."
"Interesting, I didn't know that Ariana had a sibling?"
"She does but he is too obsessed with the human world that we all thought that he is having a human as a mate."
"So he didn't?"
"Humans don't like naughty wolves." I tittered harder, campbell is always like this, you will never have a dull moment with him, I and Campbell were still chitchatting when the door flew open, revealing Drake and the girl, she was tugging Drake's hand. "Alpha Iris, are you up?" Drake asked, waiting for me to approve his entry. "Hope I am not disturbing anything?"
"Of cause not, you should come on in." He moves slowly inside, as the girl comes behind him.
"I will just wait outside, if you need anything let me know." Campbell took to his feet, he give one last glance at the girl before he goes out.
"Alpha Iris..."
"Sit, how are you?"
"Better, the other injured member of the armies are getting treated and you, how are you."
"I didn't have much injured, just a few bruises and Hilary."
He looks at me. "Is she fine and the pup?"
"She is doing okay, although she is still in pain, the pack theta, said she is going to be fine in two days, she should be back on her feet but..."
"Why the but? Are you sure she is going to be fine?" My worried self couldn’t stay calm.
"Yes, she is going to be fine, is just that, she might not be able to use one of her eyes."
"Oh dammit, I didn't mean to scratch her eyes and I was hoping the pain is not that much"
"Come on alpha Iris, you shouldn't worry yourself over her irresponsibility, you only did that because you were trying to defend yourself."
I gave him a nod, although I was feeling bad.
"I am sorry." The young lady's voice came up, Shifting my gaze to her, she fall on the floor. "I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, I was told by Luna Hilary that she could help me escape if only I gave you that soup, I got no idea that..."
"It's fine, I am not mad at you, I am fine now, so no need."
"Does it mean you have forgiven me? I nodded.
"Then let me be among your maid." I stared blankly at her, I have never thought of the word maid. "I am Katie." I tittered when she introduced herself, I fucking didn't know her name back then.
"Don't worry Katie, we could discuss that later, can you excuse us, I want to talk to your brother."
"Sure alpha Iris." She bows before me taking the door, my eyes floor her to the door, and she shut it behind her.
"What is the situation in town?"
"Everyone is celebrating in the pack, knowing that Damien and all those in his administration are gone and you have to take over, they want to know when you are having the alpha ceremony and also the trial."
"What trial?"
