The Rejected Mate Chapter 30

Mia and Derick were both tense as they prepared to launch an attack on the moon chaser pack. They had gathered all their skilled fighters and weapons, ready to take revenge for Leah's miscarriage. As they made their way towards the enemy pack's territory, they noticed a dark shadow moving towards them. It was the black bird wolves pack.

Without warning, the black bird wolves attacked. Mia and Derick's pack fought fiercely, but they were no match for the black bird wolves' superior fighting skills. One by one, members of the night walker pack fell to the ground, lifeless. Only Mia and Blake managed to escape, but the black bird wolves took Mia captive, leaving Blake behind.

Filled with anger and frustration, Blake fled Canada, leaving behind everything he had built with the night walker pack, including Leah. Leah was alone in their condo, grieving for her parents when her phone rang. She hesitated before answering, but when she heard her mother's voice on the other end, she was shocked.

"Mom, is that really you?" Leah asked, her voice shaking with emotion.

"Yes, it's me, Leah," her mother replied, her voice heavy with anger. "I'm at the airport right now. Come and pick me up. We have some unfinished business to attend to."

Leah was confused but didn't dare to question her mother's words. She quickly got dressed and headed to the airport. As she drove, she couldn't help but think about what had happened to her father and the rest of their pack, in New York.

When she finally reached the airport, she saw her mother waiting for her with a fierce expression on her face. Amanda looked determined to get revenge for her husband's death.

"Mom, what happened to Dad?" Leah asked, her voice trembling.

"He was killed by the black bird wolves pack," Amanda replied, her voice cold and hard. "And now, we are going to make them pay."

Leah was filled with a sense of dread as she followed her mother to their car. She had never seen her mother like this before, and she didn't know what to expect. But one thing was certain - she was in for a wild ride.

Leah was driving Amanda towards her condo, feeling a mixture of confusion and excitement. Her mother's sudden arrival was unexpected, but she couldn't help feeling happy to see her. However, Amanda's strange request to take her somewhere else had left Leah feeling uneasy.

As they drove, Amanda explained that Blake was no longer the brutal alpha that Leah remembered. He was now alone, without a pack to lead. Leah was shocked at the news, but before she could ask any questions, Amanda gave her the address of where they were going.

When they arrived at the mansion, Leah was in awe. It was absolutely beautiful, and she couldn't help but wonder if her mother had bought it. But Amanda remained silent, and Leah couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.

Four werewolves with rose tattoos on their necks came out to greet Amanda, bowing in respect. They took her luggage inside, and Leah couldn't help but feel curious about who they were and which pack they belonged to. She couldn't help but ask her mother, "Who are these people, and how do you know them?"

Amanda smiled mysteriously and said, "They are old friends. Don't worry, Leah, everything will be clear soon."

Leah wasn't sure what to make of her mother's cryptic words, but she followed her inside the mansion. To Amanda's surprise, everything inside had changed. The black roses were gone, replaced by a luxurious golden decor that dazzled her senses, and she smiles.

Leah was speechless. She couldn't understand what was happening, and she desperately wanted answers. "Mom, what's going on? Why are we here?"

But before Amanda could answer, one of the four werewolves spoke up.

"Greetings, Lady Amanda. Welcome back to the Golden Fang pack," the werewolf said with a bow.

Leah's eyes widened in shock. Golden Fang pack? She had never heard of them before. She looked at her mother, waiting for an explanation.

Amanda turned to her and said, "Leah, I know this must all be very confusing for you. But please trust me when I say that everything I have done, I have done for the good of our family. The Golden Fang pack has been an ally of ours for a long time, and they have offered their help in seeking revenge for your father's death."

Leah was taken aback by this revelation. Revenge? She had never thought about revenge before, she had only been focused on mourning the loss of her parents. But the thought of justice being served was tempting. She looked at Amanda and said, "What do we need to do?"

Amanda smiled, relieved that Leah was on board. "We need to prepare for war," she said. "The Moon Chaser pack and the Black Bird Wolves pack are both enemies of the Golden Fang pack. We will need to join forces with them to defeat our common enemies. Are you ready for this, Leah?"

Leah took a deep breath and nodded. She had never been one to back down from a challenge, and the prospect of avenging her father's death gave her newfound strength. "Yes, mother," she said. "I'm ready."

Derick instructed two of his men to keep an eye on Miranda and make sure she didn't try anything suspicious. He was worried that the black bird wolves pack might come back for revenge. As the men went off to do their job, Derick received a message on his phone. When he opened it, his heart sank. It was pictures of the dead night walker pack members, each one adorned with a black rose.

Lucas saw the look on Derick's face and came over to ask what was wrong. Derick showed him the message and told him that he wouldn't let the same fate befall his pack. I was sitting nearby and asked what happened. Lucas scoffed at me and walked away, but Derick told me that the night walker pack had been attacked and destroyed by the black bird wolves pack.

I couldn't believe it. I asked Derick how it could happen, and he explained that the black bird wolves pack was skilled in fighting in the darkness. He then turned to Miranda and confronted her, showing her the pictures and asking if she knew anything about the attack. Miranda denied any knowledge of it, but Derick didn't believe her. He warned her that if she was trying to crumble his pack like she had done with the night walker pack, then she was making a big mistake.

I was getting more and more worried as the tension in the room rose. I tried to calm Derick down and told him that Miranda might not be responsible for the attack. But as I spoke, I suddenly collapsed. The stress of losing my parents and the fear of what might happen next had taken its toll on me.

Derick rushed to my side and picked me up. He carried me to a nearby sofa and instructed his men to get me some water. As I sipped the water, Derick whispered soothing words to me, telling me that everything would be alright. And I need to rest, Derick took me to his room, and while carrying me to his room, the look on Lucas face show's that he wants me dead.
