“Congratulations!” Wade said to Leo when the doctor left them. Leo smiled, and there was a trace of delightfulness in his eyes. Of course, he knew about Blossom's pregnancy from the very start. Blossom disliked spicy food, but when they both went to the restaurant, Blossom ordered a lot of spicy food.
Leo nodded when Wade patted his shoulders; he never thought his plans worked too fast. Leo glimpsed at Jane, and he saw her cousin scowling at him.
“Why are you giving me that look?” Leo couldn't stop himself from asking his cousin. He didn't understand why Jane was frowning at him as if he had done something nasty to her.
“How would you get her pregnant if your wife had been shot? It's contraceptives to prevent her from getting pregnant.” Jane asked, and she glared at Leo, who was shredding his shoulders at her.
“Are you accusing me of something I didn't even do?” Leo asked back; he crossed his arms and arched his brow at Jane.
“Did you bribe the doctor? Answer me! Did you think that Blossom would be happy once she found out that she was pregnant? Leo, did you pay the doctor to sabotage her contraceptives?” Jane gritted her teeth. Even though Blossom didn't tell her that she was about to go to the hospital, she still followed her to ensure she was safe.
“You shouldn't accuse me, Jane. I don't pay the doctors to do that because when I found out that she was getting that fucking contraceptives, the doctor injected that thing on her. It's not my fault that my wife didn't know that after the shot, she couldn't have sex with me for one week.” Leo explained. He smirked and shrugged his shoulders. Yeah, it's not his fault, but he took the risk to make her pregnant.
Blossom knew that he wanted to have a child, and when she went home after taking the contraceptives, she didn't push Leo away from her when he kissed her and made love with her.
“How did you know that thing, Leo? Dude, I didn't know that you know some woman's thing?” Wade exclaimed. He was astonished by what Leo had done. He never thought that Leo would do that to Blossom because he had an affair with Erin like the others always talk about.
Though, as Leo's one of their friends, Leo didn't admit that he had an affair with Eri. Even though they asked him several times about the gossip, Leo never answered them. It looks like he wasn't affected if he was known as an adulterer.
“What? You told me that you had sex with her after the shot?” Jane made sure that she understood correctly what Leo had told them. She couldn't accept that Leo did it; she was curious how Leo thought that Blossom might be pregnant within one week.
“She's fertile in that week. And, I didn't ask her doctor about this. It's my secretary who told me that information. He knew about it because her wife had that kind of contraceptive.” Leo explained and smiled at Jane.
Jane didn't react when Leo told her everything. Although slightly disappointed, she felt guilty that she accused Leo of paying the doctor.
Blossom woke up, and she first saw the white ceiling. She smelled the alcohol; her body started aching as if some complex objects clenched her body. She saw IV fluids beside her, and she groaned.
“You are awake.” Blossom widened her eyes when she heard Leo's voice. Her mouth stammered, and her eyes slowly moistened. She was scared that she might die when her car crashed. She thought that she couldn't see Leo anymore, or maybe her parents.
“I want some water,” Blossom stated. She avoided her eyes on Leo and tried to gulp; she failed when she felt that her throat was aching. She groaned in pain when she felt her wounds.
Leo went to the table and took the water bottle he had bought. He wanted to make sure that everything that Blossom would drink and eat. He was conscious that something terrible might happen to the baby.
“Here is your water. Don't worry about the investigation because I ask someone to investigate everything. I will ensure that whoever did this to you will be in jail.” Leo sweetly informed Blossom, which made Blossom stunned for a little moment. She didn't understand why Leo acted weird, but she liked it. She liked it whenever Leo worked, like he was too worried about her, and Blossom promised herself that she would treasure everything that Leo did for her.
“I'm sorry if I caused you a problem, Leo. But I don't think that this is an accident because I know that someone wanted me to die.” Blossom whispered. She took the bottle, and slowly drank it. Blossom gasped, and she felt relieved when the water touched her throat. She sighed, and winced when her wound started to itch.
“What happened to me? Leo, I want to know whoever wanted me to die. Can you promise me that you will do everything to locate the true culprit? Does Jane know about what happened to me?” Blossom couldn't stop herself from asking a lot of questions. She needed to know about Jane because she thought that something bad might happen to her. She couldn't forgive herself if Jane had an accident.
“Your secretary is fine. You don't need to worry about her. I think you must need to worry about yourself because you had an accident, and our baby might be put in danger.” Blossom mouth hang open when she heard Leo mentioning about the baby. What? She had a shot, and she couldn't understand how she got pregnant while having a contraceptives.
“What are you talking about, Leo? I dont think that I can be pregnant because I have–”
“The doctor told me that you are pregnant. It looks like you didn't know that you are fertile when we did thag thing. You didn't like to carry my child?” Leo tried to hide what he thinks, and avoided his sight to Blossom. He didn't like it when Blossom acted that she didn't like to carry his child. Leo felt fury in his heart, and he knew that Blossom didn't intentionally acted that way.
“It's not like that, Leo. I'm sorry if you think that way. I'm confused how it happen because the shot might affected our child. Please, dont get mad at me.” Blossom mumbled which made Leo sighed and gave her a happy expression.
“Wife, I want to inform you that I am happy that you are pregnant. It's been so long when we are married, and I want to have a child. I'm sorry if I thought that you didn't like to carry my child. I was hurt.” Leo admitted, he pulled Blossom to give her a hug, and kissed her forehead.
Blossom closed her eyes, and tried to calm herself because she was worried about the baby. “I think we should ask the doctor. I want to make sure that the baby is fine.”
“We can do that, if you want to make sure that the baby is fine. I am worried about our baby too. So I asked the doctor to run some tests because I remember that you have a shot.” Leo said while caressing her hair. Blossom shut her eyes; she felt that she needed to tell something to Leo, but she stopped herself because she saw how happy Leo was.
Blossom wasn't confident to be a mother because she knew that having a child was a big obligation, and she needed to do her responsibilities. And now that she is pregnant, what would happen if Leo chose Erin over her. What about their baby if they got a divorce?
But, it looks like Leo didn't have any plans to divorce her because he intentionally got her pregnant but she was confused how she got pregnant while she had a shot.
“Does your doctor told you that once you get a shot you should let someone have sex with you? There is a big chance that you might get pregnant. You need to wait after a week before you can have sex with your partner.” Leo thought that Blossom wanted to ask but she was hesitant to make him feel bad. And when he spilled those words, and he saw how Blossom was surprised because of what he said, he was right that Blossom wanted to know about it.
“I didn't even know about it because the doctor didn't even tell me about it. Or maybe, I forgot to ask him about it. How did you know that?” Blossom felt that something was wrong, and hearing Leo knew everything about those things made her doubt him. Does Leo intentionally got her pregnant without even asking her?
Yeah, she knew that Leo wanted to have a child, but she believed that they needed to agree at the same time. They needed to decide, and respect each other's decision.
“I don't want to think that you are doubting me. Blossom, you are hurting me for thinking that I intentionally did that? Yeah, I wanted to have a child, because I wanted you to become the mother of my child. Is there something wrong with that?” Blossom thought that Leo was so defensive but she didn't have enough courage to say those words to Leo.
“What about Erin? If we have a child, then what will happen once we get the divorce? Did you ever think that the child might suffer in the end?”
“Wait, what makes you think that I will file a divorce with you? I don't want a divorce. I thought you wanted to work this marriage, too!” Leo clenched his jaw, and his eyes were sharp when he looked at Blossom. He couldn't understand why Blossom didn't like to have his child.
“It's not what I meant. Why are you mad at me?” Blossom eyes were red, and tears were about to flow on her cheeks. She was too emotional and sensitive, and seeing Leo's angry face made her want to cry even more.
Leo stopped, he pulled Blossom to give her a hug, and kissed her head. “I'm sorry, please stop crying. The doctor told me that you should avoid stress, as it might affect the baby.” Leo mumbled which made Blossom stop her upcoming cry. She was stunned because all Leo told her was she was pregnant, and she didn't know the other details.
“What does the doctor say?”
“You need to rest for now. We might lose the baby if I didn't take care of you. Please stop crying, wife. Do you want something to eat?”
“I want some spicy noodles. But, please ask the doctor first if it's alright for me to eat.”
Leo nodded, and tightly held her. Blossom gasped when she heard Leo's heartbeat. It was too fast, and she liked how Leo's heart beat when she was around. She was hoping that Leo's heart reacted like that because Leo loved her, like how she loved him.
“Leo, I'm sorry if I acted that I didn't like—”
“I understand okay? You don't need to worry about it. I know that you are emotional because of your pregnancy hormones.”
Erin smashed the table, and started yelling when she found out that Blossom was fine, and the worst was she was pregnant. She couldn't believe that Leo dared to impregnate Blossom. She gnashed her teeth before she took the vase, and threw it to the wall.
“Erin, I thought we had a deal. I thought you would dare to kill Blossom but she almost died because of you.” Erin's blood boiled in fury when she heard Storm was about to scold her.
“Shut up! You didn't know that I should do worse than that. Did you know that Blossom is pregnant with Leo's child? You're so stupid, and you didn't even do what we planned. I told you that I want you to stay at the hospital so Blossom might think that you are her savior!”
