Blossom gulped, and she didn't understand why Leo had a slum expression. She glanced at Jane, who was looking at Leo using her cold facade. Okay, Blossom's pressure quickly faded when she saw how beautiful Jane was whenever she always exposed her bitch expression.
Leo faked his throat, which made Blossom turn her gaze back on her. Seeing Leo makes Blossom want to give him a tight hug. She couldn't believe that Leo had done everything for her. She wasn't Erin, and she wouldn't be Erin even though she had died.
“Leo, I thought you were in your company.” Blossom finally dared to speak. She swallowed when Leo arched his brow at her and smirked as if he had found out she had done something wrong.
“I want to visit my wife, and you have a visitor outside.” Leo clenched his teeth, and Blossom noticed how irritated he was. Blossom was confused; whoever her visitor was, she was about to ask when she saw Storm had white roses in his hands. Blossom bit her lips because she remembered what Jane had told her. She even caught a glimpse of Jane, giving Storm a murderous glare.
She wanted to know everything but Jane didn't even let her know. How would she believe Jane if she didn't have enough proof to make her see that Storm was one of the antagonists? But what would happen if Jane was telling the truth? She needed to be more wise than usual. She needed to act like she didn't know everything and observe her surroundings.
“Oh! Storm, what are you doing here? I thought you were mad at me.” Blossom glimpsed at Leo; she was surprised when Leo took the white roses and didn't even bother to give them roses to her. She saw how Storm had a frown on his face, and she felt terrible for him.
Shit! Blossom wanted to curse Leo but knew that Leo might be doing this to protect herself and the baby. Maybe, she would check the white flowers to see if something was put on them.
“It's for Blossom, not for you, Leo.” Storm gritted his teeth in so much annoyance. He even clenched his hands as if he was trying to control his temper. He didn't want to punch Leo's face in a fury.
‘Shit! Leo Fontaine, I swear I will kick your face and kill you!’ Storm thought, and he tried to maintain his composure. His breath was too deep, and his chest was rushing.
“Storm, I'm sorry if my husband acted that way.” Blossom forced herself to smile, and she sighed when she saw how calming Storm's expression was.
“It's alright. I know how rude your husband is.” Storm shrugged his shoulders and acted like it was not a big deal, but the truth was, it was a big deal. He didn't like how Leo reacted to him, and he disliked him even more. After all, Storm thought that Leo snatched Blossom away from him.
He had a chance to disagree on their marriage since he was the great Leo Fontaine, but he didn't even do that. He married Blossom without thinking twice. Storm knew that Leo didn't have a romantic relationship with Blossom, and maybe he was having a sexual relationship with her after they were married, but that thought made Storm taste the sourness on his tongue. He didn't like the idea that someone was fucking his believed woman.
Even though he had known Blossom for so long, he still waited for her and did not even try to harm her. He regretted that he had waited for his chance because he didn't say his feelings for Blossom.
Storm took a glimpse of Jane, and he saw how sour her expression was. Blossom's secretary dared to show her true feelings towards him, making Storm think about how Jane dared to treat him like trash.
“I went here because I am worried about you. Well, I was here when you were in the operating room, and your secretary was too mean to me.” Storm acted like he was hurt, and he faked his smile. Of course, he prepared everything, and he wanted Blossom to think that he had left because of Jane.
Storm thought that Jane was a significant hindrance to his plans, and he would make sure that Blossom wouldn't trust her like what she did to her. He would make sure that Jane would be out in his path.
Blossom was surprised. She stared at Jane, who was still calm when she heard how Storm tried to ruin her. “Jane, what is he talking about?”
Blossom felt that she needed to act because she didn't know everything. She needed to work like she was lost this time.
“Oh, Blossom, you shouldn't let your secretary do that. She even mocked me and accused me. I told her I was on my way when I found out what had happened to her, so I quickly went to the hospital. This is the nearest hospital here, so I thought that the ambulance would drop you here.” Storm explained he even acted like he was unhappy with how the outcome went. He smiled when he saw that Jane didn't know how to react, and maybe Jane was afraid once he continued what he was going to say.
“You are not my boss. All I think about is Ms. Blossom's safety. I don't think that you are telling us the truth here. Do you want me to ask someone because he was there when you spit trashy words toward us?” Jane was relaxed when she uttered those words, which left Storm stunned.
“Okay, Jane, what Storm told you?” Blossom couldn't stop butting in, but she was shocked when Leo came closer and embraced her. It looked like he was secretly telling Storm that he was his territory and no one could enter his property. Blossom felt her cheek flush, and she bit her lips when she saw how Jane had a teased smile on her lips. Does her secretary tease her for having a tighter hug with Leo?
“Leo!” Blossom tried to push Leo away from her, but Leo was too strong. He didn't let her be freed from his embrace and pulled her closer even more.
“Shit!” Blossom couldn't stop herself from uttering some curses. She liked it when Leo was too clingy to her but not now that she was in the hospital. Blossom didn't see how Storm looked at them with so much jealousy plastered on his face. But Jane saw it, and she grinned when she saw how bitter Storm was.
“Sometimes, we need to be more territorial about our property. Especially when someone was trying to steal it even though we have some legal documents that could prove who was the true owner.” Jane laughed and shook her head when she saw Storm giving her a death glare.
“Those trying to steal that property will do everything to steal it. They didn't give a damn even though all they thought was bitterness and jealousy.” Jane added, which made Blossom confused. She didn't understand what Jane was telling her, and she was about to ask when Leo stopped her from doing that because he spoke.
“Well, the owner of that property will fight for their rights. We don't need to worry because the owner was too prepared to remove those trash who wanted to steal the property.” Leo spoke. Leo was challenging Storm to take Blossom away from him. He knew that Storm wanted to remove Jane from Blossom's life since Jane significantly affected Blossom's decision.
This was why he was too proud of her cousin. Blossom wasn't too friendly and approachable to anyone, but when she met Jane, she changed too fast. And, Jane changed to, it looks like hitting two birds with one stone.
Leo thought that maybe he was overthinking about Storm, but when someone sent the picture to him that Storm and Blossom were hugging, he never thought that it was a Storm scheme.
But Jane told her that she had found someone who was taking a picture of them and she even said to him that it was Storm's idea.
“What property are you all talking about? I didn't even know that you all have plans to buy some land.” Blossom innocently said, which made Jane and Leo laugh at her. She pouted and gave Storm a sincere smile.
Storm clenched his teeth but cleared his throat when he didn't have Blossom's attention. “Blossom, I went here to take you for a visit, and I want to make sure that they are all taking care of you. I will leave for now.”
Storm knew he couldn't win this time since Leo was with Blossom. How could he do his plans if Leo was with them? So, all he needed to do was to stop what he was planning to do for now because Leo wouldn't let him do whatever he wanted.
At first, he thought that Leo was in the hospital. He even asked the hospital if Leo Fontaine was with his wife, and they told him he wasn't, so he had better plans for Blossom's secretary instead.
He was surprised when he was in the hallway when Leo went to the hospital. He saw him, but he didn't say anything. However, Storm knew that Leo wouldn't like the idea that he was visiting his wife, and he wanted to push Leo to be jealous of him.
Erin told him that Leo was a jealous type, and he didn't like it when someone was trying to enter his available property. But now, Storm realized that Leo was trying to challenge him, and he wasn't even afraid he might say something nasty behind his back. Instead, Leo wanted him to fight while he was in front of him.
It looks like Leo was trying to tell him that he knew about his plans which made Storm taken back. After he bid his goodbye to Blossom, Storm quickly went to the hospital, but his face was too mad. He didn't see that Wade was looking at him because he went to his car as fast as he could.
Wade chuckled, but his expression changed when he thought Storm wasn't too easy to fight for. It looks like someone was backing him or maybe using him.
Wade glanced at his phone, for he thought that Jane was calling him, but he was wrong because it was the private investigator he had asked for help.
He tapped the answer button and didn't even say anything. He was always like that, but not to Jane. He was too different when it came to Jane.
“I hacked the CCTV camera of the building, and it looks like it was an inside job. Someone in that building deleted the footage when a man came to Mrs. Fontaine's car and ruined her car.” The private investigator said too fast. Wade wasn't surprised because he and Jane had thought the same way.
“So, do you mean that there is a traitor in Blossom's company? It looks like they are brushing up on someone in need.”
“No, I didn't say that, sir. Because I found out that this man had connections with Storm, Erin's cousin, it looks like Mrs. Fontaine wasn't too good at choosing someone who she can work with.”
Wade couldn't stop himself from agreeing with what the private investigator said. He sighed deeply and took his wallet.
“Do you know someone who can ask for help? I want to make sure that Jane and Blossom will be fine.” Wade swallowed when he remembered Jane, this was the last day of his offer, but it looked like Jane didn't even like to grab it. He was too furious whenever Jane tried to push him to his limits.
“Okay, I understand what you mean. I found out that they're looking for someone capable of that position. And the more men we would assign to them, the greater the chance they will be safe. You don't need to worry about this; I got you!” Wade blushed because he realized his private investigator was trying to tease him that he was too anxious about his girlfriend or Jane.
