I walked out of the bathroom after taking a long shower, I let the water run down my hair to cool off my anger and surprisingly it did. I took the towel off my hair and glanced out of the window to where I had seen Robin, but he was no longer there.
I opened the curtains wide, peeking out at every corner but he was gone, I sighed, perhaps he was back in the mansion. Now I can’t wait for Mrs Jane to return, that would be the only time I would love to go downstairs.
My stomach grumbled as I made my way to my closet for a comfortable outfit, I had to rub my hand on it and spoke a few words to it to behave itself. Hey, you can’t be hungry right now, we have to wait for Mrs Jane to return first okay?
I smiled when my stomach no longer rumbled, but deep down I knew I was hungry, I didn’t eat breakfast because I was avoiding Robin, and I didn’t go for lunch because of the practice earlier today. I glanced at the time, it was barely 3:00 in the afternoon and Mrs Jane would arrive home in the evening.
I am doomed!
I opened up my drawer in search of snacks I didn’t leave in there. I was disappointed when I found nothing. I had consumed them all while watching a funny comedy on my phone last night. I was a foodie but was glad I was still in shape although I didn’t like my body.
If you don’t like your body, then why were you offended when Robin said you look unattractive?
I heard my subconscious and I rolled my eyes. He was a mean jerk for saying he doesn’t like my body. I wasn’t looking so bad after all, he made me more embarrassed that day and I won’t forgive.
I placed my hand on my wet hair shaking my head profusely to get the thoughts of Robin out of my mind. Think about Hinn Carlos or something else, Ivana! I growled at myself and crash-landed on my bed.
I was still murmuring something about my empty stomach when I heard my phone rang, I looked at the caller ID with smiles on my face and answered the call. “Hello, Hinn.”
“Hey, Can you step outside for a bit?” Hinn said from the other side of the line and I sat up on the bed, surprised. If he meant to step out that means he is outside the mansion.
“Where are you?” I asked him as I peered out of my window and I saw his car parked by the gate and there was Robin with him. I couldn’t see his expression since his back was turned from my direction.
What has Robin said this time to Hinn Carlos, and why was Hinn Carlos who had dropped me a few minutes here back again?
“I am outside the mansion, and will be waiting.” He hung up and I didn’t move as I stared at them for a while to really know what the situation was, but it was useless since I can’t hear anything from up here.
I picked up my jacket and phone, took a deep breath before leaving my room. When I got outside, I stood by the door and didn’t walk over to them.
“Ivana.” Hinn glanced over at me with a smile on his lips, he walked away from where Robin stood to where I was and embraced me, pecking my cheek, but I had my eyes on Robin who didn’t look back at us.
"Hi, why are you back?” I searched his eyes for answers as I refrained, I was only hoping he had not seen when Robin kissed me and I pondered what he was talking about with Robin before he called me.
“I want to go out on a date with you.” Hinn’s eyes lit up and he grins.
“Like right now?” I asked almost immediately and he nodded.
“I know it was something I should have informed you about before now, but there was something I truly want to show you today, and I am sure you would love it, so I have no other choice but to come now.” He stared into my eyes.
“What is that?” I was curious, I had a curious mind, if it was what I would love then it was better he told me about it now for me to prepare myself.
“Let’s go, it is about to start." Hinn glanced at his wristwatch and held my hands to take me but I stopped him.
“Hinn, I am not dressed in a nice outfit, give me some time to go up and change at least.” Hinn glanced down at me before releasing my hands as he figured it out. “I will be right back,” I told him and headed back inside to change without taking a glimpse of Robin.
This was a good opportunity to go fill my stomach with food, away from Robin and his mean nature. I wore a blue dress and didn’t bother to apply any makeup. Hinn Carlos was my boyfriend and he accepted me for who I was and not how I looked.
If it was for my looks then I shouldn’t have been close to him or dream of being his girlfriend, although he had not complimented my eyes, I know he doesn’t find it hideous.
I sprayed perfume and wore my white sneakers, picking up my bag I head out of my room just in time to see Robin coming upstairs, I halted but he didn’t glance at me, he just walked into his room and that was when I realized he was going to do as I said and stay away from me.
I shook whatever thoughts that want to make me feel guilty away, he deserved what I said to him and I hope he keeps this up, this way I wouldn’t have to feel threatened in this mansion, but the truth was he has never threatened me before, he had only told me he doesn’t want me in this mansion, but that was a long time ago.
I glanced once more at his shut door before making my way out of the main door, I only hope Mrs Jane would be back before I return.
“You are here.” Hinn smiled and held the door open for me and I stepped in, he got into the driver’s seat while I fastened my seat belt.
“So, where are you taking me to?” I looked at Hinn Carlos and he flashed me his cute set of white teeth.
“Brace yourself and don’t be shocked by this.” He winked at me and started the engine as we drove out of the mansion.
I glanced at the side mirror as we left the mansion, it was too big and I can only imagine how lonely Robin would be in there alone. I shook the thoughts away, not as if I could fill that space, he wanted to be alone and there was the perfect opportunity to.
I turned my focus back to Hinn Carlos who was giggling, I smiled back at him, now I can’t wait to see this surprise that was making Hinn Carlos this happy and like he said I would love it.
