My Rejected Mate And Our Secret Triplets Chapter 14

CHAPTER 14

***LOGAN***

I opened the door and shouted, "Guards!" A few seconds later, they came running and I opened the door of my room wider to let them in.

"Take this traitor to the dungeon," I said, pointing at Alvina. They looked surprised to see who it was and they looked at me again as if to confirm.

"Now!" I yelled at them and they immediately pulled Alvina up from the floor.

"No! Take your hands off me," she struggled as they dragged her to the door.  She held on to the door tightly as they tried dragging her out of the room.

They were unable to drag her so one of the guards went to peel her fingers off the door before they could successfully drag her into the hallway.

"Leave me! Let go of me!" Alvina screeched, struggling to break free from the guards as they dragged her out of my room.

"I'm your Luna, how dare you lay your filthy hands on me," she thrashed her arms and kicked at the floor stubbornly.

I couldn't believe she could act so stubborn even after I caught her cheating on me with another man red-handed.

The maids passing through the hallway moved aside to let the guards through and they all looked shocked to see who was being dragged.

"What are you staring at?!" She yelled at them and they walked past them quickly as Alvina tried to grab one of the maids.

"Go on with your work," I said, glaring at the maids and they all bowed slightly before disappearing down the hallway.

"What are you doing? How dare you?!" I turned around to see Elder Jakob, Alvina's father, walk into the hallway.

I turned around and told the guards to keep going before facing Jakob.

"Your daughter has committed treason and she will be punished for it," I said and his eyes widened in surprise.

He also looked unable to accept that fact.

"What did she do?" He asked. I was boiling with rage and I didn't want to take it out on him so I didn't give him an answer.

"You can ask her in the pack square tomorrow," I said before walking away and following the guards to the dungeon.

"Logan, you can't do this to me," Alvina said as the guards opened up a cell and dragged her inside.

"I'm your mate!" She yelled and pushed the door of the cell to prevent the guards from locking it on her.

They struggled to push the door and lock it so they opened the door and one of them pushed her in.

She grunted as she stumbled back to the wall of the cell and she rushed forward again, but not before the guards locked up the cell.

"Logan, let me go right now!" She yelled, grabbing the bars of the cell door and shaking it.

I was forcing so much restraint to prevent myself from going in there and strangling her to death.

"I'm going to ask you this one last time," I said in a low, thick voice and went to stand in front of her cell, far away from the reach of her desperate hands.

"Who is the man I caught you with?" I asked in a low, seething voice.

"No one, just let me out of here!" She screamed at me shaking the doors of the cell vigorously.

"I'll kill you and nothing is going to happen! Who is that man?!" I yelled at her and she let go of the door before retreating into the dark cell

"I would rather die," she said and leaned on the wall.

She was my mate! And she would rather die than tell me who the man she cheated on me is? Did she love him so much? Was I so worthless to her?!

"You will suffer for this," I stated before walking away.

"No! Come back here!" She yelled, shaking the doors of her cell again as I walked out of the dungeon.

"Come back here!"

PRESENTLY.

I walked down the hallway with a nagging thought in the back of my head. As soon as I made sure Derek had left for the errand I sent him, I headed for his room.

I went to sleep last night continually brushing off the thought in my mind and telling myself my suspicion was crazy and impossible.

There was no way to confirm or deny it, or get answers. I couldn't just confront him about it out of nowhere, he was my cousin and we've been friends since forever and it would be crazy to accuse him of something like that, but I had to at least do something to appease the voice in my head.

As I got to his room, I tried to open his door, but it was locked. I stood back for a second, I thought of breaking the lock, but when nothing came out of this, I didn't want to arouse any suspicion.

I saw a maid pass by the adjacent corridor down this hallway and I waved to draw her attention.

She saw me and walked up to me quickly.

"Get me the cleaner and tell her to hurry up," I instructed.

"Yes, sir," she said and walked away quickly. She soon returned with the cleaner and left as I signaled her to.

The cleaner had the key to all the rooms so she could clean them so she would be able to get me into the room.

"I need to get something and he's not around, open the door," I said and she nodded, taking out her keys and opening the door.

"Give me your keys and go, I'll get them back to you," I said, stretching out my hand. She dropped her keys in my hand and walked away as I had instructed.

I closed the door of Derek's room and looked around. I didn't know what I was looking for or why I was here exactly.

I began to look through his things, ransacking his room. I started from his drawers to his reading table, to his closet, and even to his bathroom.

After ten minutes of searching and finding nothing, I returned to his room and stood in front of his dressing mirror.

I didn't find anything, but I felt so frustrated, angry, and disturbed.

I wanted Derek to be innocent, but I also wanted to find something to prove he was the one so bad.

"Aaahhh," I shouted in frustration and scattered everything off the dressing table with my hands.

His wristwatch, perfume, cream, and everything flew to the floor, glass pieces scattering around the room.

I took two steps back and took a look at the mess I had made. How do I explain this?

I looked back at the dressing table and saw a small latch on it. Curious, I walked closer and opened the latch to reveal a small casing built into the table. There were some envelopes in it. I grabbed one of them and pulled the letter out of it.

My lips parted open in disbelief as I looked at who it was from. I dropped it to the floor and took out all the letters one after the other, quickly looking through them.

They were all from Alvina.
