My Rejected Mate And Our Secret Triplets Chapter 37

Chapter 37

***ALVINA***

"This is Alvina, she'll be staying with us now," the Luna said and he nodded, his attention shifting to his food almost immediately.

I chuckled and saw looked at the table to see that the Luna had dished my food.

I said, "Thank you," and began eating quietly.

"So, Alvina, how are you?" The Alpha asked and I looked up at him.

"I'm 19," I replied and he nodded.

"Oh, you're 3 years older than Rosie, you look so young though," the Luna said with a smile and I muttered another "thank you."

"Did you go to school?" He asked and I nodded in affirmation.

"Yes, I did. My dad wanted me to be educated," I replied and I pretended to be sad at the mention of my dad.

"Great," he said.

"I am trained in wolf combat too," I said and he nodded, looking impressed.

"That explains how you could escape the Rogues," he said and chuckled lightly.

"Peter, stop rushing your food," Rosie said and I looked up at Peter who was hurriedly eating his food.

"Mind your business," he clapped back at his sister with his mouth full.

"Don't be disrespectful to your sister," the Luna scolded him and frowned as she saw him rushing his food.

"Be careful or you're going to choke," the Luna said and grabbed a glass of water.

"Drink this, you haven't taken water since you started eating and you're almost done," she said and handed it to him. He gulped down the water quickly and some of it dripped from the corner of his mouth onto his shirt.

It was as if he was in a hurry to go do something after he was done eating.

He dropped the glass on the table when he was done and the Luna frowned as she saw the spill on his shirt, but she didn't say anything.

I continued eating and looked up as I saw a guy walk into the room. He was much older than Rosie, but he looked like he was their son.

"James, I was wondering where you were," the Luna said as she saw him and she pulled the chair next to her back.

"I was in the training room sparring with Kevin," he replied and it was obvious because of how he was sweating and the white shirt he was wearing stuck to his body revealing the outlines of his muscles.

He went to sit down next to the Luna on the chair directly opposite me. He didn't seem to notice me for a while and he watched as his mom dished his food.

As she pushed it to him, he took it and dug his fork into it. They didn't have people who served them at the table like they did back at Lockwood Pack.

He raised his head up as he took a scoop, but he stopped the fork at his lips as he saw me.

"Oh, yes, Alvina, this is James, our eldest son," the Luna introduced him to me.

"And James, this is Alvina."

He dropped his fork on his plate and smiles lightly as he stared at me, "Well, nice to meet you, Alvina."

PRESENTLY.

"That'll be all for today," I said and sighed as I went to sit down on a bench.

"Sometimes when you're free, you can practice those kicks on your own. We'll be moving to Swords by the next class," I said to Peter who went to grab his water bottle.

"Thanks."

"Did you go to the Physician to take a look at your face?" I asked as I noticed the claw scars were still on his face.

"Yes, he gave me something to apply and he says it'll be gone by next week," Peter replied and waved before walking out of the training room.

"Are you tired now?" I looked up to see James walk into the training room.

"What? Are you going to make this an everyday thing?" I asked, sighing.

"Yesterday, you said you were going to your room, but you went to the mailroom instead," James said and I scoffed.

"So are you following me around now?" I asked confrontationally and he shook his head.

"No, I came back to ask you something and I saw you walk to the mailroom," he said and I nodded. I knew I still had to answer the question. I've been able to live here with them for six years and I don't want any suspicion to start.

"I went to check if I had any mail. Me and Anne write to each other frequently," I said and he nodded, resting his palms on his waist.

"So, are you up for sparring?" He asked. It was past five already and I was really curious to know what has happened to Derek.

"Sorry, I'm tired and I need to rest," I said and stood up from the bench.

"Tomorrow, I promise," I said with a smile to light him up as he was frowning.

"Alright." He sighed and walked out of the training room. I walked to the mail room after and knocked on the door.

Patricia opened the door and let me inside.

"You have a mail today," she said and handed me a sealed envelope.

"Thanks," I took it from her and left the mailroom going straight to my room.

I closed the door as I got to my room and immediately went to sit on my bed while I tore the envelope open. It was a letter from my dad.

I quickly read through the letter and my heart fell as I read what he wrote. Logan found out Derek was the one I had an affair with and banished him too.

I let the letter slip from my hands to the floor as I felt scared for Derek. That explains why he hasn't been replying to the letters since he's no longer at the Pack.

I had no idea how I could contact him now, but the most scary thing was that I didn't know if he was still alive. I picked up the letter on the floor on the floor and continued reading. My eyes widened in shock as I read what my dad wrote at the end.

Larissa was back at the pack!
