Chapter 38
***LOGAN***
I watched from my corner of the room as two government officials walked in. Two special agents walked in after them, carrying large boxes in their hands and the door was shut. My gaze remained on the boxes as they were dropped on a table before my Nolan.
"General Rudolf, the Alpha took his time to honor your invitation so get on with your presentation." Nolan placed his hands on his waist. He was wearing a sweat pants and a simple vest that stuck to his body, making every outline of his perfectly sculpted body visible.
"I'm glad he came, after all, he was appointed Alpha King by Mr. President." The smug smile on Rudolf's face disappeared the instant I shot a cold, icy glare at him. Of course, he wouldn't want to get on my bad side.
"Yesterday, there were a series of attacks in Los Angeles. According to our investigations, it occurs that these attacks were carried out by a group of vampires." Rudolf paused. I had suspected the meeting would be related to vampires and he had confirmed my suspicion.
Two years ago, the blood flu, a disease that caused vampires to go mad or spread around the world and infected vampires, Rippers began to kill humans.
The situation had been controlled by Werewolves and since the revelation of the supernatural world to humans during the apocalypse, Vampires have been seen as dangerous and sometimes terrorists. Werewolves were content with this treatment of their destined enemies and I in particular loved it.
"What do you want us to do?" Nolan asked after receiving a permissive nod from me and Rudolf signaled the special agents to open the boxes. The boxes were filled with all kinds of ammunition: from guns to swords, to bows and arrows. They were all silver.
"We traced one of the vampires to a Vampire club in Los Angeles." Rudolf faced me, "We want you to dispatch werewolves from various packs to assist Nexus Service in rounding up the suspects. We'll be using the apprehended Vampires to test our new facility here in DC."

“Asshole,” I muttered as I paused the news playing on my phone. I locked the door to my house and walked straight for my car. I suddenly stopped as I decided to take a can instead. This could be a mission longer than I can think.
“Taxi,” I called out to a cab driving by and it halted before me.
“The airport.” I hopped into the car and it drove off.

As soon as I alighted the plane, I switched on my phone and checked the time on my wristwatch. It was 4: 45pm. I checked my notifications to see an Instagram message from Jenna, a friend.
Jenna: I’m waiting at the airport, where are you?
I looked around to see if I could spot her before directing my attention back to my phone.
"I just landed. I’m near the checkpoint." I replied to the message and it was soon marked as seen.
"K" Her reply popped up with a smiling emoji. I flinched as a pink Mercedes zoomed right in front of me. The car came to a screeching halt and I moved back quickly before it could hit me. I looked inside the car and saw Jenna waving at me with her eyelashes flashing at me.
Bitch.
I got into the car and she didn’t even wait for me to balance before zooming away.
“F**k! Jenna!” I cursed as I picked up my phone that had fallen on the floor of the vehicle.
“What’s up? What are you doing here in Washington?” Jenna asked.
“I came to check up on some old contacts,” I replied and looked out the window.
I couldn't tell her the real reason I was there.
“But it’s late, so I’m gonna book the closest available hotel.”
“Great.” She chimed in and suddenly tuned up the radio music. Crazy ass bitch.

I swiped my keycard through the door to my room and I threw it in my bag as the door opened. The room was amazing; just how I liked it. A king-sized bed in the corner, a long dressing table, and mirror, a closet and neatly tiled floor.
Jenna sure knew how to make use of the zeroes. So many zeroes would get my mom bickering about how an orphanage would have appreciated the donation. Boring. I had barely settled down for too long when someone knocked on the door. I sighed in frustration and walked towards the door.
“Who the he….” I stopped as I opened the door to see a guy carrying some clean and neatly arranged towels and bedsheets. Did I mention, he was hot?
“Room service.” He smiled and ……oh my God, his dimples were strikingly amazing.
“Oh yes.” I said awkwardly and then acted out, “You know I’ve been feeling so bored since and I needed someone to talk to…Um…can you like to come back when you’re done with your shift so we can hang out?” I felt my eyelashes blink seductively and I smiled at him.
“I’m actually done for the day. This was my last stop for the night.” He replied with a lustful smile and I didn’t mind.
“Great. Come in.” I pulled him in and shut the door. He dropped the towels and bedsheets on a table and I immediately caught him by surprise by pushing him on the bed. I leaned in towards him on the bed and I kissed him softly on his lips. I pulled back and he smiled at me, biting on his lower lips.
I took off my gown slowly and allowed it to drop to the floor, leaving me in my half-cup bra and lingerie.
“Damn Sexy.”
