My Rejected Mate And Our Secret Triplets Chapter 58

Chapter 58

***DEREK***

"Alvina, what are you doing here?" I asked. It's been months since the two of us said anything to each other. She did her best to avoid me and I also went along with it even though it hurt every time.

"I need to talk to you," she said and she looked both sides of the hallway, scared that someone would see her.

Talk to me about what? She hasn't said a word to me for months so what was so important that she came here herself???

I didn't have a choice as anyone could see her here and it would be bad for me so I opened the door wider and let her in.

I closed the door and turned around to face her.

"You said you're Logan's mate now and you have a duty to your family, what are you doing here?" I asked, irritated that she had the guts to come here after so many months.

"Yes, but I made a mistake, I shouldn't have said that," Alvina said with pleading eyes and I scoffed.

"I was scared and I pushed you away, but I miss you so much and now I know that I was wrong," she continued and I sighed lightly, tapping my right toe on the ground.

"So what do you want me to do now? It's been months and I don't know how I feel anymore," I replied and crossed my arms over my chest.

I was so confused and didn't know if I should be mad at her or happy that she came back. I wasn't sure if the love I felt for her was still here.

"Just like you said, the two of us can run away from here," she said moving closer to me, "my Dad is an elder and that should be enough to save my family's reputation," she added.

She sounded so desperate, and it reminded me of exactly how I felt when I went to see her months ago. The same desperation I felt when she pushed me away. Thinking about that made me suddenly irritated.

"Derek, please," she pleaded and tried to grab my hand, but I moved away from her and shook my head.

"I can't do this right now," I said, trying to keep a clear head and think straight. There were so many emotions going through my head and it was clouding my thoughts.

"I know I hurt you when I insisted I couldn't leave Logan, but that was only because I was scared," she began to plead again.

"I miss you and I just want us to go back to the way things were before," she added and I scoffed with a chuckle.

"But things cannot be the way they were before," I replied and unfolded my arms.

"And no, I cannot run away with you," I added and pointed at the door.

TWO WEEKS AGO.

I just need to get rid of this Rogue. Once I did that, I'll come up with a plan to trick the LakeMoon pack into believing I need refuge in their pack so they accept me like they accepted Alvina.

I smiled as I imagined the shock on her face when she sees me. My eyes flickered to the Rogue as he tried to stand up and run away.

I rolled my eyes and pointed the pendant at a tree. Just like I hoped, a blast fired from the pendant and hit the tree. The tree collapsed immediately right in front of the Rogue and he tripped over it, falling face flat on the ground.

I clicked my tongue and hissed. He was so annoying already. He turned around to face me and his eyes were fixed on my palm that held the pendant.

I sighed and looked around, laying my eyes on the axe he tried to kill me with before.

I went to grab the axe and I lifted it, the Rogue raising his hand over his face to brace for the axe.

I was about to strike him with the Axe, but I stopped and threw the Axe away.

What was I thinking? This is a perfect opportunity. With the power of the pendant, there's so much I can do.

All I was thinking about was how I would get back to Alvina, but that could wait. It's been six years and Logan is still sitting on a position that could be mine.

I don't want to live with Alvina in a foreign pack I know nothing about. I want to live with her comfortably in the pack I grew up in, the pack my parents were raised in, and the ones before them.

I could use this opportunity to seize the pack and make it mine. Once I'm successful, I can get Alvina from the LakeMoon pack and bring her back home.

This pendant wouldn't be enough to pull that off, but it and the things I know about the pack would get me the resources I need to pull it off. It would take a lot of convincing, and it was very dangerous, but I'm going to bet everything on this pendant now.

The Rogue opened his eyes and looked at me as he saw that I didn't kill him.

Making a funny scared sound, he moved back, away from me, stretching out his left arm in front and shaking his fingers.

"What.....what do you want?? Why didn't you kill me," he asked and I smiled as I grabbed the pendant I was holding tightly.

I grinned wickedly and I took very slow steps towards him. Seeing the fear in his eyes made me feel a satisfying thrill.

As I got to him, I bent to his eye level and held his jaw up, forcing him to look into my eyes.

"I want you to take me to the little rat hole where you come from. I and your General might have a business to do."
